~*Two*~

I woke up confused and... wet?

My pajama top was sticking to me hair plastered to my neck and face. I caught my reflection in my bedroom mirror. The girl looking back at me had a confused expression. Was I in a dream?

Then reality hit me when the sound of stifled laughter reached my ears. I threw the wet sheets off me in time to see Nathan's figure rush out of my bedroom slamming the door making me do a face plant in it my lips pressing against it.

"Aww, I didn't know you loved the door enough to kiss it so passionately." Nathan teased from down the corridor when I opened the wretched door. He sprinted down the stairs and I followed him. My hands were about grip his shirt when I tripped and slid all the way down the stairs.

"Shit, Jordan!" I grinned on the inside and stayed where I was lying flat on the floor eyes shut and lay perfectly motionless and still.

"J?" His voice was frantic now, "mum! dad!! he hollered, "call an ambulance!"

I opened my eyes giving his arm a quick pinch, "that was for pouring water over me," I gently slapped him on the face, "that was for making me kiss the door." Then I gave him a grin, "and the dramatic act you fell for was for making me fall down the stairs." I grunted and sat up pushing him off me laughing at his shocked expression.

"That was cruel," he muttered. "I really thought something happened to you."

My attention turned to Nathan's dad who was roaring with laughter in the door way. "You should sign up for drama club Jordan." He gasped out between laughs. "It's not every day Nathan falls for something so easily."

I returned his smiles with one of my own. "I think I will Uncle Chase," I said joining in with the joke.

Nathan scowled at me and stalked off in the direction of the kitchen obviously in search of some breakfast.

Nathan's dad straightened the work jacket he was wearing an headed for the door saying, "well you kids better get ready for school or you'll be late."

I gave a groan; school meant hormonal boys, possessive bitches and sadistic teachers.

"Don't worry, I'll protect you." Nathan laughed from the kitchen reading my mind.

I smiled shaking my head at his cockiness but then scoffed, "oh please," I rolled my eyes, "you'll be so busy winning girls you'd never have time for me." And I couldn't help by let that pang of jealousy leak into my tone.

He must have heard it an seen through me though because he offered me a soft smile, "I'll always have time for you, Jordan.".

"Can I please, please, please drive?" I pulled one of my best puppy dog faces making my eyes widen slightly as my bottom lip trembled.

Nathan slammed his eyes shut immediately and let out a groan of frustration, "you can't do this J, that's cheating. Besides I value my life, I think I wanna keep the blood in my body and my baby," he patted the car proudly, "needs to stay alive."

"My driving's not that bad," I huffed opening the car door and slamming it shut. Nathan climbed in beside me.

"I'll let you drive home, look on the bright side eh? We have school." Nathan cheered.
