As Rosaline's eyes slowly blinked open, Andrea let out a sigh of relief. She was glad that Rosaline was awake again, because she knew that they would have to move on. A fact that Andrea knew was weighing on her best friend Michonne's mind as well.
The black woman paced in front of the door to the outside, hoping that nothing would try to get in. If it did, she knew that she'd have to try her hardest to get Andrea to leave the idiot girl lying helplessly on the cold, hard tile floor. She knew that the girl had been with Andrea's old group, but she didn't understand why Andrea insisted that they help her. It made absolutely no sense in her mind.
Rosaline peered up through her eyelashes at the two woman towering above her. She was glad that they hadn't just left her there to die, although Rosaline knew that leaving her behind wasn't the sort of thing Andrea would do. But she didn't know the other woman, the one which towered over her with a sword strapped to her back. It scared Rosaline a little, but if Andrea trusted her, Rosaline knew she would have to as well.
"We need to get out of here," said the black woman.
"I should be able to get up and going as soon as I eat a little bit. I don't know how long I've been out but I hadn't eaten since that morning," Rosaline said. Andrea nodded.
"We'll get you something to eat and then we'll get going," Andrea agreed.
"We don't have that time to waste. We need to get out of here now before walkers show up," the black lady snapped.
"Who are you anyway?" Rosaline asked angrily from her spot on the floor.
The black woman just sent Rosaline an angry look Andrea sighed and rolled her eyes. "That's Michonne," Andrea replied.
Rosaline nodded and Andrea gave her another drink.
"How are you feeling?" Andrea asked.
"My arm is killing me and my head is pounding," she replied hoarsley.
"I'm pretty sure you broke your arm," Andrea said, confirming what Rosaline had suspected all along.
"I don't know what I'm gonna do. I can't shoot walkers with a broken arm!" Rosaline insisted, a bit of panic rising in her voice.
"Will you control yourself? Panicking isn't going to help any," Michonne spat.
Andrea shot Michonne a look, but she held her ground. "If what she says is ture, and this place got overrun, then we need to get out of here. And panicking over her arm isn't going to help."
Andrea sighed. "She's right. We gotta get you outta here, find some medical supplies. We can try to cast your arm. I think I remember how they did it for..." she trailed off. But Rosaline understood. "Can you stand?"
"I... I can try," Rosaline managed.
Andrea nodded and held out a hand to help Rosaline up. Andrea was worried about her. She was in bad shape. And without the proper medical care, there was no way to know how much damage Rosaline really had.
Rosaline made it up to her feet, but seconds after she did, she was hit with a wave of nausea and lost everything left in her stomach. This time, it didn't cover her, which she was grateful for.
Andrea handed Rosaline the bottle of water and Rosaline quickly swished the last remains of the vomit from her mouth, then took a drink. She could almost feel her body crying out for more, but she knew Andrea was right. They had to get out of there.
Michonne stood back from Rosaline and Andrea, eyeing them. She wasn't too excited about the idea of Rosaline tagging along, but she wasn't heartless and now that Rosaline was awake and moving, she wouldn't just leave her. That would be cruel. And besides that, Michonne knew that Andrea wouldn't leave without her. So she had no choice to accept it and move on.
Rosaline took a tentative step forward on shaky legs. She held onto Andrea for dear life. She didn't want to fall.
A few more tiny steps later and the three of them outside. Michonne walked over to a tree. Chained to it were two walkers with no arms or jaws. Rosaline gasped.
