The three of them spun around quickly to see a tall, muscular Mexican man standing before them with an overflowing pack on his back and a pistol in his hand. He had baseball bat in the other that he looked like he was itching to use but with Rosaline being so far away, it was impossible for him to do so.

"Who the hell are you?" Andrea demanded.

"I'd have to ask you the same thing," said the man. Michonne narrowed her eyes and stepped forward with her katana raised.

"Whoa, whoa, missy, no need to be so hostile. I can help your friend there," he said, gesturing to Rosaline.

"She asked your name. I expect you to answer," Michonne said. The Mexican man chuckled and rolled his eyes.

"Name's Martinez. Why don't you tell your friend to answer me since I asked her as well," the man, Martinez, said with a hint of sarcasm.

Michonne went to take a step towards Martinez but Andrea placed a hand on her upper arm and gave her a look.

"My name is Andrea," she said.

"I can help your friend, Andrea. The one with the sling. She looks pretty beat up and at my town we have a doctor who can take a look at her, give her some medicine-" Martinez began.

"We aren't going anywhere with you so cool your heels cowboy," Rosaline said from the back of the group. Andrea, Michonne and Martinez looked at her with wide eyes. They hadn't expected her to speak.

"We've got women and children there. Warm beds and..." Martinez trailed off and took in their appearances. "Showers."

Andrea sighed impatiently and narrowed her eyes. She didn't know what Martinez was up to but she knew they weren't going with him. That was final.

"You're the leader?" Rosaline asked, and everyone once again turned to look at her, surprised she had spoken.

"Me? No, I'm just out on a supply run. Normally I'd have more men with me but this was a simple one and I'm not too far from home so I came by myself. Besides, the Governor needs all the men he can get to guard the walls. These days it seems like the walkers are flocking to us," Martinez said.

"The Governor? That's the name of the man that runs your town?" Rosaline asked. She had stepped forward and was now in front of Andrea and Michonne.

"That's what he's called, yes," replied Martinez.

"How many people would you say you have in your town?" Rosaline asked.

"Sixty. Seventy maybe. I'm not sure of the actual number. We all live comfortably. We have a doctor and plenty of fresh water. We could fix up your arm for you," Martinez repeated.

Rosaline looked at Andrea and they had a silent conversation with their eyes. Rosaline ultimately won. Then it was Andrea's turn to convince Michonne. She refused not so silently.

"We don't even know this guy. I'm not just gonna go off with him on the promise that he can heal her! He could be lying! It happened before the world went to shit and I wouldn't be surprised if it happened now," Michonne spat.

"Then you stay but I'm going with," Rosaline said. She crossed over to stand next to Martinez. He looked a bit shocked.

"Why don't you go ahead and with Martinez and just give us directions and we'll meet you there in the morning?" Andrea asked. She knew she'd need the night to convince Michonne to go.

"That's fine with me," Rosaline said.

"Alright, follow the main road out to the highway and go down two miles until you hit the next town. That's us. Simple enough, huh?" Martinez asked.

Andrea nodded and crossed over to give Rosaline a big hug. "You take care of yourself," she said while slipping a knife into Rosaline's belt.

Rosaline nodded. "I'll do my best."

Martinez gestured for Rosaline to follow him as he made his way back to the car. He was surprised she had immediately jumped on his offer but then desperate people would do desperate things. And from the look of the girl, she was pretty beat up, and that was before she had a close call with a walker.

"What happened?" Martinez asked, gesturing to Rosaline's arm.

"I made a big mistake and karma came and kicked me down the stairs," Rosaline joked.

"No, really?" Martinez asked. He sounded genuinely concerned.

Rosaline sighed. "I got into an argument with, er, my, um, friend, Daryl. We were arguing over the stupidest thing we possibly could. And so we split up and I fell down the stairs and broke my arm," Rosaline told him.

"So why didn't Daryl come after you?" Martinez asked.

"He thought I was dead. We were surrounded by walkers," Rosaline replied.

Martinez nodded and then stopped walking in front of a beat up Dodge Neon. "This is our ride," he said. Rosaline nodded and opened the door, then slid inside and sat down and buckled her seatbelt. Martinez followed suit but left his seatbelt off.

"There aren't any cops around. You won't get in trouble if you don't wear your seatbelt," Martinez joked when he saw her snap it into place. Rosaline just rolled her eyes.

"So where exactly did you come from?" Martinez asked.

"I started off in Atlanta by myself-"

"No way would someone as small as you make it in Atlanta, especially alone," Martinez interrupted. She turned to glare at him.

"I made it in Atlanta just fine thank you very much," Rosaline shot back.

"You're too damn clumsy," he said a bit too seriously. Rosaline sighed and rolled her eyes.

"I'm not clumsy. I'm a good shot and I can cover my own ass. I'm just no good in a group, that's all," Rosaline told him.

"On second thought, maybe I shouldn't bring you back to town with me," Martinez joked. "You have to be able to play well with others."

"Will you just shut your mouth and drive this damn piece of crap?" Rosaline spat, finally fed up with his jokes. Martinez chuckled but focused on the road and soon the roadblocks were coming into view.

Hello readers! I hope you are all doing well because I know I am!

I hope you liked this chapter because I know I liked writing it. I really like Martinez and I hope that nothing terribly horrible happens to him on the show because that would really suck. I was really sad about Milton because I liked him to and I thought that he died a horrible death.

Anyhoo, what do you think? Will the Governor accept Rosaline graciously or will he react to her the same way he did to Michonne on the show? Will Rosaline get the medical help she needs? Will Rosaline and the Governor get along? If they don't, how do you think each party will react? Let me know below!

And, as always, don't forget to vote, comment, and fan!
