Chapter 2

Scarlet POV

We all put our masks on and walked to wherever they were going. I was just following them from behind. I kept on staring at Kaneki and was curious about him.

"What's yours, Kaneki?" I questioned him "What's my what" he said and it looked like he didn't understand my question. "Your kagune, silly" I said while giggling
"Your weapon. What keeps you alive in battle" I hinted

Kaneki POV

At first I didn't know what she meant until she started explaining what she was talking. I bet she probably thinks I'm an idiot now.

"Oh that, mine is a Rinakaku that's red with 4 tentacles" I explained

As I said that I noticed that her eyes widen and she smiled at me.

"Mine is also a Rinakaku but a purple one with 4 tentacles. I like you Kaneki, we have a bit in common. If I live longer than a week we should go out" She smirked

Wait did she say 'Go out' does she mean like on a date. But before I could ask her she started walking away. I sighed and just walked besides her. As we walked I noticed that Touka looked pissed.

"Can you two walk any slower" she yelled with her arms crossed across her chest

I rolled my eyes and started jogging towards her. I noticed that Scarlet was jogging as well.

"Hush, Touka. You'll let any prey know we're coming." She said while looking seriously

This girl actually seems pretty cute. It seems that she's very serious about catching her prey. It's pretty funny though.

Scarlet POV
I have lived longer than Touka, so hunting prey is my sport.

"Whatever it's not a big deal" she said as she rolled her eyes

I then started to argue with Touka about how important it is to hunt your prey.

Kaneki POV

I was getting annoyed listening to these two argue.

"Will both of you just shut up" I shouted

I don't really yell at anyone, but these two were getting on my last nerves. I guess I got them to stop, because once I told them that they both just stayed quite. I just sighed and put on my mask. We then spotted a young man walking in the alley alone so we decided to attack him. I then noticed that Scarlet put her mask on as well. She then took out her kagune and jumped off the building and attacked the man. Me and Touka just stood there waiting for her to finish. She left some parts of the human and walked back towards us.

"Now that was refreshing" She said with a smile and wiped her mouth, then put her mask back on.

"Next is my turn" Touka said with a grin on her face.

I just rolled my eyes and laughed a little.

"Whatever let's just go" I told them as I began walking ahead.

Then I felt someone hit my head. I turned and saw Touka with a smirk on her face. She then started to walk ahead of us. I just rolled my eyes and smiled.

"Be my guess, dear" Scarlet said with a smirk "And don't be so sour, Kaneki. It's just for our survival" she said as she looked at me. I just rolled my eyes

"Yeah, you sure know about survival, don't you Scarlet?"

We then turned and saw a masked ghoul coming out of the shadows with three more surrounding them.

Scarlet POV

As we turned toward the voice I saw the mask ghoul who I made a deal with.

"Oh shut your meat hole." I shot back with a smirk

Then I took out my kagune and slashed two of the four ghouls heads off.

"Are these the guys you were talking about " Touka said as she took out her kagune

"I sense danger from these guys" Kaneki said as he got his kagune out as well

"Yep" I yelled as I as I dodged the masked ghoul who spoke to us. He tried to stab me but I blocked the hit with my kagune. But I miscalculated one of my jumps and I ended up getting stabbed.

I looked at him and pouted out my lower lip, "Ouch baby. That hurt." I said as my kagune cut his body half. I then smiled as I looked down and saw straight through my torso, "And I really liked this shirt..."

"God Scarlet why do you have to get in so much trouble" Touka said as she got stabbed from behind her back. I just rolled my eyes and helped them out.

I then just looked at Kaneki and saw that he just kept on smiling while fighting.

"What are you smiling about eyepatch" Touka said as she coughed out some blood but then slashed one of the ghouls.

"Well to be honest, this is actually great for my training" Kaneki told Touka as he cut off one of the ghouls heads off

I then slashed another ghoul and regenerated. I killed the last ghoul there was then walked towards Kaneki and Touka.

"Well, that was great bonding time. I enjoyed it" I said with a smile
"Come on let's finish this hunting trip already" I said with a smirk.

"Finally it's my turn" Touka said with a smile while walking ahead of us.

Kaneki just laughed "Well let's go then" He said as he finished killing the ghoul he was fighting.

We then left and walked to the park. I guess this is Touka's favorite hunting spot, but who knows. We then spotted a young man walking.

I then turned to Touka and smiled "This one is all yours, Touka" I smirked, as I placed an arm around Kaneki's shoulders as I leaned on him.

Touka then nodded as she started to put on her bunny mask and went to go attack the young man. While me and Kaneki just stood there watching her.

It was quite until Kaneki broke the silence.

"So what was your relationship with Rize" He asked me

I then thought for a moment.

"We were childhood friends. But we didn't always get along. We fell in and out of our friendship. We taught each other how to hunt and we argued often. We got in a fight a few months ago. And now she's gone." I said while sighing

"I'm sorry that she's gone" He said as he patted my head gently. "I didn't really know about her but all I know is that some ghouls hated her and some didn't" He said as he sighed but then smiled at me.

I then snickered, "That's how ghouls feel about me. Rize and I didn't fall far from the same tree." I said as I smiled back at him

"But I'm glad she's with you now" I said with a smile.
