Chapter 4

Scarlet POV

We then walked to the other ghouls base.

"They aren't that strong, but they are fast. And there are a lot of them. They'll storm us." I explained."They're fucking idiots. They hit without precision.

"Ok I got it, I got it" He told me as he motioned me to calm down.

One of my flaws was how I let rage take control of me. Like Touka does.

We then reached their base. I then turned my eyes to their black and red form and took out my kagune and so did Kaneki.

We then walked in. A few ghouls ran towards me with their kagune's out but I easily knocked them aside and killed them.

I noticed that Kaneki killed some ghouls with his kagune while laughing.

"And I thought thatthese guys would be hard" He said while killing them with his eyes closed and his back turned trying to show off.

I just rolled my eyes, "These aren't the ghouls I'm worried about." I replied through gritted teeth then sliced and diced through more and more ghouls.

I then looked down and saw a huge shadow. I knew right away who it was.

I silently cursed to myself as I felt other tentacles stabbing through me over and over until my kagune disappeared and I fell to the ground. I then started coughing out blood.

"Nice to see you again, Scarlet". The masked man said as he kicked me and sent his tentacles stabbing right through me so fast that you couldn't even see them.

Kaneki POV

I then noticed someone attacking Scarlet so I stabbed the ghoul I was fighting.

"Scarlet" I yelled as I began to run towards the man in the mask l and began fighting him.

"Finally a real fight" I said with a grin.

Scarlet sputtered blood as she tried to get up but couldn't. The mask man just laughed as he watched Scarlet then he threw me into a wall.

"Listen, I have no fight with you. Leave her and you can live." He said as he pinned me against the wall with two of his tentacles.

"She is going to die anyways" He told me as he walked towards Scarlet and stabbed her with one of his tentacles. He stabbed her multiple times in the chest making her cry out in pain and caused her to collapse again.

"Leave her alone, you bastard" I yelled as I freed myself from his grip then ran up to him and stabbed him from behind.

The man just chuckled as he began to regenerate, "You obviously don't understand. She made a deal and she didn't hold up her end." He said through gritted teeth as he cut off one of my tentacles then cut off Scarlet's hand making her scream with more pain.

"She. Isn't. Going. To. Make. It. She's too weak. She can't regenerate fast enough. So leave." He said as he growled at me.

I then got up and started to regenerate, "She can if you stop doing that to her" I said as I finished regenerating and ran towards the man and tried to get him as far away as I could from Scarlet.

"Scarlet. Run I'll hold him back so go." I screamed as I got stabbed in the chest and coughed out some blood.
