Chapter 24

~Bri's POV~
We all went outside to the pool and sat around a patio table. With the 6 of us all sitting at this kind of small table, there was no space in between us for arguing who it landed on. It was perfect. The order of us sitting went me, Jordan, Matt, Ryan, Mark, and then Jack. We did nose goes and Mark had to spin the bottle first. It landed on Jack and what looked like disappointment washed over Mark's face and relief flooded Jordan's.
"Jack, I dare you to..." He said, pausing for five seconds before finishing with, "switch seats with me. "
Jordan and Mark exchanged glances while I looked over at Jack. Jack looked back at me and mouthed "I'll just jump in the pool," and winked at me. He and Mark both stood up, but Jack ran over to the pool and jumped in. Mark sat back down with a surprised look on his face, Matt and Ryan looked at each other with confusion spread on their faces, Jordan let out a breath he had been holding and looked gratefully towards Jack, and I just smiled.
"Okay, well since we have had the first jumper into the pool, he may return to his seat and continue playing. However, from this point on, if you jump in the pool, you are out. Also, since this game is unfair with me being the only girl, I texted two of my friends and they are on their way ov-" the door bell interrupted my statement. "Or they are here now!"
I got up and answered the door and got tackled in a hug by my friends Erin and Angel. I bring them outside to the table and introduce everyone to them, since they already know everyone who is here. I took Angel off to the side and talked to her.
"Hey, how ya holding up?" I ask. Adam and her ended up breaking up, but he moved out so she's still in the old place.
"Eh, I mean, I'd rather be at home eating Ice Cream and watching movies, but you know I'd always come and hangout when you want." She answers.
"Hey, that's the spirit!" I say, earning a laugh. "Now let's get back to the game!"
We walk back to the table and continued our game. It seemed like Erin and Jack were starting to becoming friends and Angel seemed to be having loads of fun and getting her mind taken off of the break up. I'm so happy everyone is having fun.
"Briiiiiii," Mark drags out. I look down at the table and the bottle is pointed at me. "So Bri, I dare you to kiss any guy, except Jordan, on the cheek." He says, seemingly confident that I'll pick him.
"Hmmmmmm..." I say looking at Jordan. I lean over and whisper in his ear, " I'm not getting out just yet, I'm gonna kiss Jack on the cheek okay?" I winked afterwards and Jordan nodded. Erin was now sitting in between me and Jack which made my plan even more perfect. I figured that everyone thought I was going to jump into the pool since I whispered to Jordan, but the look on Angel's face told me she was onto me and gave me two thumbs up. I walked over to Jack and kissed him on the cheek and sat back down. "I'm not going out just yet, bud. I'm all in this." Everyone laughed after I said that and we continued the game until it was just me and Mark left. Of course, I had the advantage because I was going first, but I was gonna be a little lenient and not be my usual self. " Now usually this is the point where I say 'I dare you to jump in the pool and get yourself out,' but I'm feeling generous today. We're not allowed to do that now. I am, however, going to dare you to pick anyone to carry over to the pool and jump in, while carrying them." I say. Genius 10-second-ago me didn't stop to think, oh, I'm the lightest one here! Maybe he might actually choose me! because, of course, he did choose me. As soon as we go under, I immediately try to resurface because I don't really like staying underwater too long, but Mark held me down and looked at me in the eyes. From on top of the pool everything looks blurred enough to where you can't make out what's happening, but in the water it's crystal clear and you can open your eyes in it. Mark pulls me close and kisses me real fast and then allows me to resurface. I don't let how mad I am towards Mark or how surprised I am show, I go on like nothing happened. As soon as Mark resurfaced he said, "We both lost!", but I soon corrected him and said "I won!" Of course, Angel and Erin knew why because I had played this game many a times with them, but no one else knew, so I elaborated. "I didn't jump in the pool voluntarily, like Mark had, therefore he jumped in and I won the game!" Everyone laughed and it was now the sun was setting. "Campfire!" Erin, Angel, and I yelled and hurriedly ran inside to get changed.

I hope you guys like this chapter, and this story is slowly coming to a close!! I think it'll be close to around 30ish chapters, and it'll finally be done! I am working on a JSE fanfic that is in no way a continuation of this so if you guys wanna go check it out, the feel free!
