He holds me in his arms, mumbling a few words before slowly letting go of me.
"I—I need to take Jerry for a walk. I'll be back shortly. C'mon Jerry!" He says, quickly rushing out the door. I just make it out the doorway of his office to see him grabbing Jerry's leash and walking out the door. What just happened? He's leaving you. You obviously did something and he just can't stand you anymore. This is all your fault. I walk out to the kitchen and get myself a glass of orange juice. I get one of my antidepressants and take it. You're right, it is all my fault.
~Jordan's POV~
I'm about a block from the house when I decide to stop and try to assess what just happened. I decided to call nick and ask him if he can pick me and Jerry up and go to his house.
"Hey, Nick."
"Yo, Jordan. What's up?"
"Can you come and get me and my dog, Jerry? We can drop Jerry off at the house, but I kinda want to just chill at your place for a little bit. Would that be cool?"
"Yea, that's fine. May I ask what this is about?"
"I'll tell you once you get here. I'm about a block from my house on *insert street name*"
"Cool, I'll be there in a few minutes."
I hurriedly try to gather my thoughts. Why did I leave in the first place? I was so happy when Bri came in and hugged me, but why was I crying in the first place? Angel just keeps pressuring me to get Bri her to a doctor, but if she needed medical help, she would tell me, right? Wait, didn't Angel say Bri doesn't like to be helped? But she can't just do it all on her own, no one really can. Unless.... Beep beep. I get in Nick's car and Jerry jumps into the back seat. We get to the house in like no time, being that I was only one block away. I get Jerry and we walk into the door, only to see Bri crying into Angel's arms. I take Jerry off the leash and he instantly runs over to Bri. She looks at me, hope in her eyes. I go over to her and go to hug her, but she starts to back away from me. I run out the door and jump into Nick's car. As we drive down the street, away from the house, I feel like something just left me. I begin to feel as if I'm losing control and blackout in the passenger seat of Nick's car.
~Bri's POV~
I hear Jordan come into the house with Jerry. The dog immediately runs over to me, but I look at Jordan right away. He starts to walk toward me, but it's not him. As he walks towards me, I don't see the face I wake up beside every morning, the one full of compassion and care, it's more of one that is angry and sad. I start backing away, and a hurt expression appears on his face. Only this time, it is the Jordan I know. He runs out the door, almost in tears, and I began rushing after him. Just as I get to the door, I see him jump in Nick's car and drive off.
Instinctively, I jump into my car and begin driving to Nick's house. I get there, and see that his cards already here. Through the window, I see Jordan laying on the couch and Nick pacing back and forth. I run to the door and knock until Nick comes over and opens the door. He looks and me, then moves aside, allowing me to run past and go to Jordan. I run up beside the couch, grab his hand, and begin crying, until I feel a hand present on my cheek. I look up and see that compassionate Jordan, laying weakly on the couch. I give him a huge hug and begin crying in his shoulder. I look into his eyes, then lean in and his him. When I pull away and look at him again, it's like the Jordan that was just there is gone. An angered expression appears on his face and I feel Nick grab my waist, stand me up, and move me away. "He's been like this on and off since he got in the car. I don't understand what's happening. Walk down that hall and lock yourself in the guest bedroom. There is stuff in there for you to do. I'll explain later. Now run. " Nick whispers in my ear. After getting a small push from Nick, I sprint down the hallway and here Jordan jump up from the couch and begin chasing me. I've never been able to out-run Jordan, and I just barely did now. As soon as I got through the door and shut it, Jordan just made it there. I hurried up and locked it, then ran under the bed and hid.
"Jordan, calm down." I hear from outside the door.
"No. She's in there." It doesn't even sound like Jordan now.
I crawl out from underneath the bed and open the door. Facing Jordan, I see that it's not him. "I miss you Jordan. I miss your smile. I miss your laugh. I miss our little kisses. I miss everything. I'm so sorry." I say and give him a hug. I look up at him and see he is back to normal Jordan.
"I miss you too. I'm sorry for whatever just happened, but it wasn't me." He leans down and kisses me, a passionate kiss. I kiss back, and, for a few seconds, it feels like the world stopped. That's when I feel it happening. Another blackout. "Jordan, catch me." I say, right before I feel my legs giving out and fall to the floor. And just like that, I'm out.
