A Warped Reality *ON HOLD*

Chapter 9

"Another?" Lily asks looking at me. "Since when?"

"I had the 'vision' just last night," I reply looking at Devon for an explanation.

"Wait a second," Lily says staring at Deborah and Devon. "The kid that died was just like all the other girls. But younger."

Lily's eyes widen as she realizes something.

"Oh no," she whispers.

Why won't anyone tell me what the hell is going on?

"Devon what's going on? How does the kid dying have to do with anything?" I ask confusedly.

"Later Alice-"

"No I need to know now," I say seriously starting to get frustrated. "You may remember me as a little girl but I'm sick and tired of not knowing what the fuck is going on. So can you please tell me?"

Devon takes a deep breath but before she can speak Lily buts in.

"So there's this demon of fear," she starts. "He's classified by his color and eyes. Demon pf
fear high rank. He's been murdering adult women everywhere. All in the same way which you already know. I have been having visions and every time I get one a new death is the next day with the same person I was in my dream. But now he's widening his horizons and took a teenage girl which is why you must be getting visions too."

"Do we have any idea why he's doing this?" I ask.

"Not now," Ash says finally talking for the first time. "But we'll find out."

"Yeah in order to find him we need to find something that's he's touched," Devon says rubbing her neck.

Out of the corner of my eyes I see Lily bring up a hand to touch her ear but quickly brush it off as tucking her hair behind her ear.

The room stays quiet for a few moments while we all think.

"Actually I might be able to help with that," Lily says finally. "I had another dream. I was in a field and that demon thing was there," she shudders just remembering it. "He whispered in my ear and now my ear is burning."

"What?" Ash asks looking at Lilly.

The two start talking together and I just look at Devon for help.

"Yeah let's just leave them," Devon says guiding me to the kitchen with Deborah.

I walk ahead of them but still pick up what they're talking about.

"I can't believe that the demons back again," Deborah whispers to Devon.

She mutters something else that I can't make out but I catch the word Trevor.

"What about Trevor?" I ask as we all file into the kitchen.

Devon and Deborah share a look before Devon slightly nods her head. Deborah sighs and turns to face me again.

"What do you know about Trevor?" Deborah asks me.
"Well," I try to rummage around inside my mind for memories. "All I know is that we were close and that I recognized him."

"At school correct?" Deborah says.

I nod once.

"Well Trevor isn't exactly," she looks at Devon for help.

"Human," Devon finishes. "You see, Trevor is half demon."

"How can someone be half demon?" I ask even though I had a guess.

"Well when a demon falls in love with a human....." Devon trails off. "You can imagine the rest."

I imagine how terrible that must be. Being in love with a different species.

"But Trevor looked normal from what I remember," I say trying to remember what he looked like. He had black hair and was wearing a red sweatshirt, and had bright green eyes.

"Well sometimes the demon in a hybrid doesn't show up until later or until night," Deborah says.

So Trevor's partly a demon and apparently a much bigger deal than I thought.

"Than why didn't he recognize me?"

So Trevor's just came back into the picture.
Next chapter they're going to try to track the demon with Lily and Ash.
