I hung up my phone as I said “Holy shit Alex?” he looked at me, “hey Haley.” “What the hell Alex you have a girlfriend or fiancée!” He sighed at me, “I know I just wanted to tell you that I’m happy for you and that I was really in love with you but I never told you because you know you were underage.” I nodded, “Thanks Alex but I need to get home, call Tay.” I said as he laughed, “She knows.” I looked at him. “What?” “She knows I told her a long time ago but I’m over you now I just wanted to tell you.” My phone rang as I answered as I heard the twins just screaming. “What the hell is going on?” I freaked out a little, “Fucking Ricky came over again he just barged in the house demanding we let him see the kids he was drunk as hell.” “That is it!” I screamed as I hung up, “As much as I would love to stay and chat I have to go kick the fuck out of the father of my kids.” He nodded as I ran to the house once I got in Ricky looked at me and got wide eyed. I saw Becca back away a little, I guess I’m extremely scary when I’m pissed off.
“RICKY OLSON!” I screamed as he looked at me, I punched him in the face hard. He held his hands over his eye, “I swear to god if you ever! EVER! Come back to this house I will get that restraining order.” I seethed as Kellin came over, “what’s going on?” “Ricky was just leaving.” I said as Ricky got up and left. Becca shook her head but stayed. I walked into the kids’ room to see they were crying and hugging one another. “MAMA!” they both cried as I hugged them, “Sh, I’m here babies.” I said as they both settled down as Kellin came in with two sippy cups with milk in it. “Thanks Dad.” I said softly as I got them both tucked into bed again as I put on ‘Don’t You Dare Forget The Sun’ by Get Scared softly in the background as they fell asleep again. “I step out for a breather just once and he just bradges in like he owns this place.” I said as I started to clean the house. “Haley Nichole Radke-Bostwick stop.” Dad said as I looked at him. “what?” “tell me what happen?” “I stepped out for a little bit I went to the park when I got their Alex was there too so we started talking than Xandy calls me telling me that Ricky just burst in and scared the kids half to death.” I said as I went into the kids’ room again.
I saw that I needed to get Max’s nebulizer I plugged it in as I held it to Max’s face as he woke up as he immediately grabbed my hand like he does a lot when the mask is put over his face. I moved his hair out of his face as I kissed his cheek softly; “I love you” I whispered as he just looked at me with his big brown eyes with a tint of hazel in them. The song ‘Miles Away’ by Memphis May Fire Feat Kellin Quinn came on I began to sing:
‘I pack my bags and say goodbye to my wife for what seems like the millionth time.
They said it gets easier, but they lied.
She looks at me and says "Really baby? I will be just fine,"
but then she looks away so I don't have to see her cry.
And that is when I ask myself;
How am I supposed to be everything they expect me to be when I feel so alone,
cause I left my heart at home.
She needs me, but I know they need me too.
So God, give me the strength to do what you created me to do.
Really I'm so thankful for the people I meet,
the places I've been and the things I've seen,
but when she's not here it doesn't feel like I'm living my dream.
I know they say that no one is perfect,
but I swear she's perfect for me and that makes it so much harder to leave.
