Strongholds

You and I know what it feels like to be broken.

Now we need protect ourselves with a shield.

Our heart can't be taken from anyone like a carnival token

We built a wall.

But people broke that down.

Then we built walls upon walls.

To save our hearts and love from a vital meltdown.

We both created strongholds

We sit alone in the dead center of our empty kingdom

Its surrounded by a mazes of walls filled with twist turns and folds

The only one who is worthy will be able to come

But since we are together it makes us miles apart.

My walls and your walls are stacked side by side

How can I heal your heart?

These walls need to go.

They will all go in one fatal blow.

The will fall like dominoes down in a lane.

Safe is where we'll be in a Stronghold we'll make together

We will withstand all that pain

to be happy with one another forever
