Weeks went by, class with Veronica was dificult. She purposely picked on me as much as she could. I wanted to wipe that stupid smirk off her face. After the day of the incident, Ezra went to find me. I told him what had happened and went ballistic. He couldn't believe how someone could be so full of hatred.
It was late afternoon and I sat quietly in front of the ballerina statue, thinking of ways to impress the judges on audition day. I wanted to prove her wrong. My mind was somewhere else, that I didn't notice someone sat next to me.
"A penny for your thoughts beautiful," a deep masculine voice asked.
I turned around and almost fell off the bench, making Dimtry laugh. I tried to hide my now beet red face.
"Why are you hiding your face? I think your natural blush makes you look more beautiful!" Dimtry commented.
"I wasn't hiding my face!" I blurted out, "My hair was in the way."
Dimtry nodded and pulled a strand of my pixie hair out of the way. He looked even more handsome. His frosty blue eyes watched me with curiousity.
"Are you looking for Miss de Luc?" I looked away.
"I just came from her office actually..." he sighed, "I was walking to the front and I saw you. So I came to say hi. So hi!"
Rolling my eyes, "Now that you said hi, you may leave now."
"Want me gone so soon?" he mocked hurt.
"Yes."
"So blunt, are we?" he joked.
"Sometimes..."
"You're cute."
Now that made look at him. He arched an eyebrow and smiled. I quickly got up and began to walk away. That conversation had to stop. Dimtry Alexei Vronsky was a player and I if I didn't stop talking to him, I would eventually fall for his charms.
"Where are you going beautiful?" he asked as he catched up to me.
"I have a name, ya know."
"Oh yeah, Dania... am I correct?"
I nodded and kept walking. People gasped as they took a look at Dimtry. What did he want?
"What do you want Mr. Vronsky?"
"Have a cup of coffee with me?" he asked as he grabbed my hand.
I quickly yanked it away and put both of my hands inside my sweater's pockets, "Don't touch me Mr. Vronsky."
"Sorry, I didn't mean to startle you..." he looked down, "But have a cup of coffee with me? I know of a great coffee shop."
He stared at his shoes as he patiently waited for my answer. Did I want to go have a cup of coffee with him? A voice inside my head was telling me to say no. Vronsky was bad news, but another voice told me to go ahead and go with him.
At the corner, I saw Veronica walking down the hall. She was busy talking on the phone with someone. Her laughter died down when her eyes locked with mine. Her face grew with anger and quickly marched as fast as she could with her cane. I quickly grabbed Vronsky's hand and yanked him to the entrance. I don't know what came over me.
"So where is the coffee shop?"
Vronsky smiled and interwined his hand with mine, "It's just five minutes away from here."
