Leo felt tears stream down his face. Slowly at first, then faster than Niagra Falls. Actual tears because he didn't have the energy to heat up. He hadn't slept longer than two hours at a time in a week. How could he, when he hadn't found Calypso yet? At first, he had had support. Other campers would help him look for her, especially the Seven and his cabinmates. But they eventually gave up, and even gave him wary looks when he asked them again.

Finally, Leo too had given up. He slumped to his knees, feeling his heart speed up. He had to get away from the main camp. There was only one place to go.

Leo ran, as fast as half-humanly possible, tearing through woods, not bothering to apologize to tree nymphs whose branches he snapped or satyrs whose flowers he crushed. He accidentally lit his whole body on fire instead of just his hand, but it opened the bunker regardless.

Leo waited painfully long for the door to swing shut. The second it did, he exploded- quite literally. The flames from his skin flew up to twice his height and width. His tears turned into steam that poured from his eyes and cheeks, and he screamed.

"CALYPSO!" He screamed, the sound ripping from his throat. More steam gushed from his face. "CALYPSO! WHY DID YOU LEAVE ME? I LOVED YOU, CALYPSO! WHY? WHY? WHY?"

Leo crumpled to the floor on his hands and knees. He took a few ragged breaths in attempt to calm down. It didn't work. "Calypso!" He yelled more quietly now, out of energy. His fire died down to embers in his hair and clothes. "Calypso," he sobbed, his tears free to fall once again. "Why didn't you love me? Was it because I didn't stay? But it wasn't me, Calypso. It wasn't me, I'd never. Calypso! I love you!" He took some more painful breaths.

Despair slowly turned to fury as a dirty voice whispered in the back of his head. "It was his fault. Not mine, his. I swear, Calypso, I would never. But that one... El diablo, Calypso. To you. To me. I will get him, Calypso. For us.

"I swear on the River Styx that I will not rest until the di Angelo boy goes down in flames."
