* Faith’s POV *
“Wow, you’re early!” I greeted John as he entered the VIP area of the club, alone, but it seems that he was here for a mission. He was looking all over the place, searching for someone, maybe his friends or a girl. But I think it’s the latter as he seriously stretches his neck, not minding if he’s going to break it.
He finally looked at me and smiled. It took about five minutes, or even more, before he took in my presence right in front of him. I simply rolled my eyes. Men.
“Hey… Faith.” He greeted, and by the sounds of it, he wasn’t thrilled to see me. Maybe he’s here for Hope too.
Ever since she came back into my life, she has been hogging Blade and Slade’s attention like crazy. They’re simply whipped under her spells, and I don’t even know why. Weren’t I supposed to have that much attention too? We’re twins, remember?
I shook my head at that thought…
…Which of course, John noticed. “What’s the sad face for?”
“Remember when I said I think it’s fun to have a twin?” John nodded and a curious look immediately painted his face. “I take it back.”
“Why? Aren’t you and Hope getting along?”
I shook my head. “I don’t know. It just seems that we’re not interested in the same things like twins do. And people worship her at home ever since she came back.”
“Aww, is someone jealous?” John teased as he wiggled his eyebrows at me, which made me laugh. At least, he’s still talking to me like he used to. “Maybe they just missed her. Didn’t you miss her?”
I nodded.
Even though I got my memory back, there were still things I couldn’t remember and one of them was Bailey/Hope. I don’t remember meeting her before. All I know was that my dad went home without her when he was supposed to get her years ago. And ever since then, I haven’t heard my dad talk about her.
But she acts as if I was stupid enough not to remember her. Actually, everyone in the house does that like I don’t remember things and blame me for it.
“What’s on your mind, Faith?” John snapped me out of my thoughts, my heart literally jumping for air. It was as if he has shaken me awake from something I don’t even remember. Great.
I shook my head. “Nothing, I was just listening to the music.” I lied, bobbing my head to the beat of the song playing oh so loudly around the place.
The place was still packed, like the previous nights. People scattered all over the place, either drinking or dancing with their friends.
Soon, John’s friends finally came and have occupied the seats around the table where I was hanging out with John for the night.
“Is this your girl?” One of his friends asked. I think his name was Solo.
John shook his head. “Hey guys, this is Faith. Hope’s twin sister.” He introduced me to his group as I fangirled, remembering that time I watched their show with my friends.
“So Faith… who’s older?” Another guy chimed in. If I’m not mistaken, his name was Paulie.
“Hope is older by four minutes.” I explained and they all nodded.
“Aww John and Hope are both the older twins.” Someone else cooed as I look away. I’m such in an awkward place right now.
As my eyes searched around the place, I noticed Slade’s men were watching me like they always do. Though this time, they weren’t beside me all the time. If I could point it out, this was the first time they left me alone, like this much of a distance.
