* Hope/Bailey’s POV *
Waking up from a forced sleep was something I hated, only because you can’t fight away from the drug that was shoved right in your face. And the fact that I was all tied up and couldn’t even see where I was made me panic in every way.
The room was all quiet and cold. I couldn’t even feel if anyone was with me, but I was praying that Faith was in the same room, perhaps the same condition as me.
And the signs were good as I heard Faith breathed heavily, maybe she was also wondering if I was in the room with her.
“Faith…” I called out and she answered with a groan, letting me know that she was right beside me, though we can’t really feel each other.
I was tied up in a chair. My arms were behind me the whole time and I was already feeling numb all over, getting all tired over my position. My back was already aching, despite that I was sitting the whole time.
For a few minutes, silence took over the room until Faith decided to talk.
“Jacob did this.” She uttered with a serious tone. It didn’t even feel like she was joking, and I hated the fact it felt real, though I was still surprised by her confession.
“Do you ever wonder where Danny was when he suddenly disappears?” She inquired, her voice was crying, almost as if she was about to cry. “Danny was his right hand, not Chase. They planned all this.”
“Jacob has been ordering Danny and a few other men who were left here after that incident at the warehouse. He had another group working for him. A group that Chase, or Levi, or even Blade didn’t know about because he wanted revenge so bad that he knew those other guys wouldn’t accept all of his orders.” She trailed off with disgust, telling me how bad Jacob was as opposed to how I knew him.
She kept on reminding me that Jacob isn’t the same Jacob I knew long ago. His heart had turned black, and it didn’t matter if I was his girlfriend, as long as I could help him with his revenge, he’d use me.
“I heard them talking about this months ago, and I thought he would stop when you chose him, but he didn’t.” She explained as I listened to every word, not saying a thing. I didn’t know what to say either way.
“I thought you could change him, but his heart is too shattered to turn his life around.” Faith exclaimed. “Yes, he may love you, but your love wouldn’t be enough for him to change.”
“Why are you doing this, Faith?” I asked, finally letting her hear my opinions. “Didn’t you confess to Jacob a few weeks ago? Why are you suddenly ruining his reputation? Are you jealous that he chose me over you?”
Angered seeped within me, questioning Faith’s allegations. Were these effects of her jealousy? Just because Jacob chose me, she didn’t have the right to speak about Jacob like this. And the fact that I almost believed her words made me feel like a bad girlfriend. I shouldn’t be here backstabbing my boy, I should be defending him.
Jacob has done nothing but good to me, and Faith’s words wouldn’t harm the relationship we have, not even if she’s my twin sister.
“Yes, I was jealous of how he was treating you, of how he suddenly dropped me like I was nothing, and that he chose you. Yes, I did confess my love to him a few weeks ago. And yes, it hurts like hell.” She admitted.
“But that doesn’t mean I’m here to ruin his reputation just because he rejected me. After I found out all of these, I wasn’t that hurt anymore, in fact, I was glad he didn’t choose me because I know how much it will hurt even more to know that that one guy you trust the most is backstabbing you.” Faith confessed.
