You and Tyler had really liked each other for quite a few years now, but only started dating about a year ago. You had just turned 19 a few weeks ago and with Tyler being 24, your relationship with him was in no way easy. The two of you were at different points in your lives. Tyler focusing on his career and you were just finishing up you first year of university.
The two of you often fought but it had never been too serious. It usually would end in one of you apologizing and the two of you would cuddle up on the couch. But this time was different. This time Tyler was fuming. You had no idea what you had done to cause him this way but Tyler had stop answering your calls and messages.
You would have shown up at his door but you knew that that would seem really needy. A few days had passed and Tyler had still yet to contact you. You decided that this time you would go to his house.
You stood at his door, nervous as to what response you would get. Tyler opened the door and once he saw you a frown from on his handsome face. "Y/N what are you doing here," he said with a clear presence of anger or possibly it was frustration.
"Tyler, you haven't responded to any of my messages. Is everything ok," you said very concerned.
"Well I have just very busy lately. I can't just drop everything when you decide that you want to text me, ok Y/N," he said angrily.
"Tyler, I don't expect you to drop anything for me. I only ask that you tell me what's wrong. You mad at me,why."
"Maybe the guys are right. Maybe dating someone 5 years younger than me was a mistake. It's like you don't even understand."
"Is this why you are angry. The guys told you that dating me was a mistake. Tyler do you honestly believe that." Tyler just stood there in silence. "Well,I think I got my answer," you said walking out the door. It's been a week and you haven't spoken to him since. Your phone began to ring. You looked at the screen to see Tyler's name. You answer the call and heard Tyler sniffle his sadness. "Y/N, you don't understand how much I've missed you. Could you please come over and we can talk."
You thought of declining but you could tell that he was being sincere and sounded like he was in a lot of pain. You drove over to his house and you could hear Marshall and Cash barking at the door. As you approached the door, Tyler opened it. His eyes were all puffy from crying. You took his face in you hands and rubbed your thumb along his jawbone gently. He embraced you in a big passionate hug. "I should have never have screamed at you." He walked you inside.
"Tyler, don't worry," you began to say but he interrupted you.
"No Y/N, I was wrong. I should never listened to the guys. They just kept teasing me about you and I just couldn't take it. I am sorry that I took it out on you. It's just they are like family to me. But I love you and that's all matters." He gave you a passionate kiss on the lips and you could feel him smiling through the kiss.
"Babe, I understand that they are like family to you. I get it. But you shouldn't let their teasing get to you so much," you said sincerely. As the two of you walked into the living room, you saw a slideshow of all the pictures the two of you had ever taken while dating. There also was an amazing diner sitting on the island with flowers and a teddy bear. You walked over to the island to notice that the teddy bear was holding a Tiffany necklace. After see this you began to cry. You turned to Tyler and he embraced you in a huge, your head resting on his shoulder. He began to rub your back. "Y/N,are you ok," he said.
You let out a small laugh and said, "I'm fine Tyler, this is just amazing. Thank you."
The two of you curled up on the couch watching movies together until you fell asleep.
