Today was the first day of your dad's new job as the head coach of the Pittsburgh Penguins and he was taking you with him. You couldn't believe that your father had gotten a job with the Penguins. You had grown up watching hockey and needless to say you were a huge fan. You had had the biggest crush on the captain, Sidney Crosby. The two of you had breakfast before washing up and getting ready to leave.

You were a little nervous to meet all these NHL hockey players for the first time. You were afraid that they would think that you were weird. You had lost the majority of your hearing at a young age. You were left with only 40% of hearing in your right ear and 50% of hearing left in your left ear. Most people don't understand that you are hard of hearing. When they find out that you are, they normally treat you like your broken. You learned to read lips very well as well as sign language.

When you arrived at the arena, your dad went to his office and you wondered around the arena. Your father told you that if you needed any help to text him. As you walked through the empty halls, your heart began to race at the thought of all the amazing players that have been here before. You saw a bunch of guys walking down the hall in front of you and you began to get nervous. You suddenly turned around and started to head to you father's office.

As you walked away Sidney tried to call you, "Hello." But with no luck. You could not hear him. When you got to your dad's office, you sat there waiting for your dad to finish some paperwork before he would start to prepare to head onto the ice. Your dad had finished his paperwork and you headed to the bench, waiting for the players to head out to the ice.

You sat there occasionally checking your phone. You had received a text from your best friend Amy. As you were replying to her message Sidney Crosby skated over to bench to grab some water.

"Hey beautiful, who are you texting? I didn't quite catch your name before you walked away earlier," he began to say to you but you were a little busy to notice that he was even there. At this point he was a little frustrated that you were just ignoring him He waved his hand in front of your face.

You looked up to see a slightly frustrated Sidney. "Oh sorry, hello."

"Alright then don't answer me," he said before skating away.

Your dad skated over to the bench and tilted your head so that you were looking him in the face before asking you what you said to Sidney. You said that you had said hello and he got very fussy and skated away.

Practice came to an end and the players started to head to the dressing room except for Sidney. He skated over to the bench again. This time you watched him come over and as he spoke.

"You may think I am totally overrated or you may just not like me but can you at least acknowledge me as a person."

"What are you talking about."

"This is the third time I have tried to talk to you."

"What are you talking about. You skated away from me last time."

"Because you were being rude and didn't answer me."

"I'm sorry, I must not have heard you."

"What do you mean you must not have heard me I was standing right in front of you."

"Why are you getting so angry?"

"Because you are making excuses for your rude behaviour."

"I'm so sorry Sidney, I was not trying to be rude. I really didn't hear you. You see I am hard of hearing."

"Another excuse, If you are hard of hearing then how are we speaking right now"

"I am reading your lips. Why are you so irritated about all this?"

"Oh! P.S I never caught you name?"

"It's Rosalinda and you never answered my question."

"I was irritated because I like you, Rosalinda and I wanted to get to know you but this beautiful girl was ignoring me and I'm not used to that."

"Well if we are being completely honest. I have had the biggest crush on you."

"Well if it's not to formal I would like to get to know you a little better but first let me get changed first." He embraced you in a hug and gave you a small kiss on the forehead before heading to the dressing room.
