Barry was in a deep sleep when he heard the sounds of crying far off in the distance. He heard some movement next to him as Iris began to stir awake as well. "I can get him.." He sat up in bed and began to get up. "Are you sure?" She asked. He turns his head slightly to glance over at her. "I'm sure." He smiled. He stood up and made his way into Henry's room.

He walked over to the crib resting his arms on the railing watching his son for a split second. "Come here little guy." He said quietly as he reached his arms into the crib and picked the baby up into his arms. "You need to learn to let your mother sleep.." He grinned a little though he knew the baby couldn't understand what he was saying. As he spoke, the baby seemed to hear his voice and had turned his head slightly to look up at him. Barry glanced down at him and smiled.

He seemed so peaceful at the moment now that he had been settled down since Barry was holding him. Things have been settled down since Harrison. And Barry was glad for once that days as the flash were going slow, so he would be able to spend some time with Iris and his son. It was one thing Barry worried about when he had found out Iris was with child. He knew that once his enemies found out, they would do whatever it took to get to him.

Barry walked over to the rocking chair and sat down and slowly began to rock him. "How's it going?" Barry glanced up to see Iris and smiled. "Hey. It's going fine. I got him to sleep." Iris smiled as she watched him with Henry. "That didn't take long . I think that's a record." She grinned. Barry slowly stood up and gently placed Henry back into the crib. Iris followed him quietly out of the room to head back to their own room.

Barry and Iris both crawled back into bed to go to sleep. But for some reason, Barry was now wide awake. He was letting his thoughts starting to get to him again. Things had been going good for quite some time now. And he was waiting for something to go wrong.

Not able to sleep, he quietly crawled back out of bed so not to wake Iris, then walked over to the window, sitting on the ledge. He leaned his head back against the wall as he glanced out the window. He almost wondered for awhile what life would be like without being the flash. He wouldn't have to worry as much. Though there wasn't as much disturbances as there used to be. He of course knew that Oliver and Felicity have been able to be a part of the team and still do the family life. But each one was different...

"Hey.. Have you been there all night?" Iris asked walking over to him once she had woken up. Feeling her hand on his shoulder he flung his eyes open. "Hmm? Oh. I guess I was just thinking and I fell asleep not even having realized it.." He said quietly.

"Is everything alright Barry?" Iris asked with a worried expression. He pulled his knees up to his chest and wrapped his arms around his knees. "Yeah. Everything is fine. I was just keeping watch for awhile."

"You know that nothing is going to happen right?" She sat on the ledge opposite of him. "Everything is possible with being who I am Iris..." He looked over at her. She gently rested her hand on his knee for comfort. "I'm not going to let anything happen to our son. Or you.."

Barry smiled a little. "Isn't it suppose to be the other way around? Aren't I supposed to protect you?" He teased though he knew Iris was well capable of taking care of her own.  Iris smirked a little. "Hey. I have proven myself to be pretty bad ass at times.." Barry laughed a little. "Yes you have. And I know you are more than capable... But I am most worried of our son..." Iris nodded. "I am too.. Everyday.. And I worry for you when you're out in the field..." "You won't have to worry about me. I have not lost yet." He winked. She took a deep breath. "The yet is what I am worried about..." She said quietly. Barry got up from the ledge and walked the few steps over to Iris wrapping his arms around her to hug her. She wrapped her arms back around him leaning into the hug.

"Tell you what.  Why don't I make breakfast before I go check things out at the lab?" He said hoping to take their minds off things. Iris nodded. "I would like that.. I'll come help." She let go of Barry and stood up to get ready. "I'll be down shortly." She said then watched as Barry exited the room
