I peered over the forest from my high up perch. The leaves rustling carelessly and the birds singing peaceably. I sigh and start to climb down so I can catch up with Max. I see him up ahead strolling through the thick underbrush and under the heavy canopy. We walk side by side, not saying a word or making a sound.
Max swiftly pulls me to the ground and we look up. The sun shines through the leaves, seeming to rain down on us and everything surrounding us. He leans over and softly kisses me. "I love you Ross, more than the trees love the sun."
