There are a lot of times in life that you feel that you were never born. Or so embarrassed that you wish you had the ability to become as teeny as a baby rabbit and go down a burrow, and never, ever come out.
And sometimes you feel stupid even for trusting someone. With tears flowing down her gorgeous golden brown cheeks, Aria ran down the wooden spiralling steps of her tower room as fast as possible. But midway she stopped to catch her breath and sat down on the rough grey steps, her salty tears drenching her worn Muggle clothes, a pink Minnie sweatshirt and black denims.
Now free from the bondage of those claustrophobic circular walls, Aria could fully appreciate the serene beauty of the surrounding areas. Aria couldn't have wished for a more beautiful place to be her home.Surrounding the magnificent Aulis Manor were numerous mountains in varying shades of green; their presence giving a sense of security and foreboding. But to Aria, they seemed terrifying. Their towering presence did not appeal to her much, and she felt totally and utterly lonely.
Strange though. Aria was ridiculed and misunderstood quite a lot in her troubled and uneventful childhood. Not everybody understood her much, though a lot of people did like her and they did enjoy her company.
Aria was a lovely young girl, with hair as black as the night sky, eyes which shone like glittering emerald orbs and golden brown skin. She was tall, and quite plain, except for her silky straight hair. And yet she held the promise of spring, her chiselled features in the process of becoming beautiful and delicate. And to top it all, she had an unusual number of rare abilities. In short, she was a highly unusual girl. And in a lot of ways.
She started thinking about these crazy events as she did about a lot of things; imagining herself floating high above wispy white clouds, rising past the light blue sky, higher and higher until the pale blue grew into a darker shade of the hue, silvery constellations seeming like sparkly stickers on a serene blue backdrop, so very soothing..........
Higher and higher she she flew; till the sky turned from blue to black to the palest yellow, till her radiating body started moving forwards instead upwards towards a lot of clouds.
Aria went further and further, feeling the greatest urge to go past this stretch of sky, feeling the destination held a lot of answers.
At last, she reached a majestic arch, around whose framework were entwined several creepers with pale grey, but nevertheless beautiful, five petaled flowers.
When drawn to those strange flowers. she tried to get closer, but was stopped by a Father Christmas like creature, with a long nose, potato like stature, all disproportionate. It carried a spear in its miniscule hands, and held it right at Aria's neck.Aria was offended.
'You muchkin, why don't you let me in?'
' You belong neither here nor there, Aria Watson,' it said rudely, spite evident in every syllable.' So you better get lost, Aria Emelia.'
And that seemingly stupid creature stabbed Aria so hard that she slipped and fell down the parapet of clouds, down and down, the pain so consuming that it numbed all her senses, rendering her helpless.
At last she found ground, and her senses returned. The stabbing pain in her side was a paramount. She slowly tried to get up, but relented on sensing a person a approaching her.
The person reached her and stopped abruptly, and made a sound between a whoop and a laugh.
'My Lord, the Bronze girl! I cannot believe it! At this age she managed it!'
Another person came towards Aria's injured body, now lying whimpering on the ground. This person's footsteps were exactly the opposite of the first person, high and mighty, strong, perhaps the strongest in the universe......
'Take her to Apollo, Selden. That's all I can say'
'To the father of medicine? But why?'
'Do as I say, Selden, if you value her life.'
'And what shall I tell her when she wakes up?'
'Tell her that she'll be attending a meeting with God.'
