"Why don't you try to forget?"

"I don't want to forget."

"Is there even a reason to remember?"

"Yes."

"What might that be?"

"The memories of us together. I was so happy. I keep thinking maybe one day I will be that happy again."

"That's a nice thought."

"It was a nostalgic thought. And an empty desire. It won't happen."

"There goes your negativity again."

"There goes your denial again. Happiness is a façade that people wear to shield the sadness hidden inside."

"But you said that you were happy at one time."

"I thought I was. I used it to keep my inner workings to myself. It was such a tremendous act, even I believed it for quite some time."

"I see."

"Happiness makes you blind. I couldn't see that he stopped caring or that he wanted to be with somebody else."

"Wouldn't that be love that blinds you, instead of happiness?"

"No. If anything, love opens your eyes to beautiful things. And you feel like you're floating. But then you fall off that cloud, and you hit the ground. And it hurts like hell. Then there's the aftermath to deal with. And you have to decide whether those sensations of love are worth all of the grief and suffering you have to deal with in the end."

"And are they worth it?"

"Not a chance."
