"Cassie?" I asked unsteadily as I watch her fall down to the ground. I came closer to her. She wasn't moving. I slowly knelt down next to her and held her up in my arms

"H-hey, its me, Alex..."

There was still no movement coming from here. Tears started to roll down my cheeks "Now's not the time for jokes, come on wake up..." My voice started to shake. "Please, wake up. Don't leave me..." She was still breathing, but it was unsure whether she would make it alive.

"No, please. God, just wake up already. Cassie!"

Now, my tears started to drop uncontrollably as I held her even tighter than before in my arms.

"What a shame." Agent X said coldly, as he started to come closer, followed by a dozen men before him "Stay away from her!" I shouted at him. He took a step back. "This wouldn't have happened, if you gave me that watch of yours earlier. At least now it's just you and m--" I cut him off before he could finish his sentence by kicking him right in the chest. I received the attention of his men as they started to get in their fighting stances. I laid Cassie down on the ground, and closed her eyes. I didn't want her to see what happens next. "I'll be right back, milady" I whispered softly to her ear. Soon after I got up and prepare myself for my last confrontation. I took out a small alarm clock that I had carried with me earlier. I set it to five minutes and I put it down on the floor next to Cassie "What's that for? You cookin' something?" one of Agent X's men asked, followed by distinct laughter around him. I wiped off my tears and got on my feet. I told myself to breathe. I looked at the man who asked me the question. With a soft tone and a smile I said, "No, that's how long I need to finish you all off, and I will."

There was a moment of silence, and then the ten men charged at me. I quickly reached towards my two holsters and took both my semi-auto handguns and charged straight for Agent X, with all his henchmen in front of him charging. It seemed that I had to go through them before getting to him

The first three men charged in a row. They looked like primary students lining up for lunch, but in my case lining up for a perfect single bullet shot. I raised my right arm and shot away, each of them falling right after the other. "Three down, seven more to go," I kept charging towards Agent X and this time two of them started to shoot at me with their guns. I quickly leaned backwards and slide between them. After going through them I quickly stood up and pointed the tip of my guns behind their heads. I heard the gunshots, which were followed by red mists coming out of them. The rest of Agent X's men have built a barricade out of bricks. I started running towards it when suddenly a gigantic metal robot landed right in front of me.

It was twice my size. It had two arms with canons, and on its top was a Gatling gun. I smiled. I had barely wasted a minute and this machine would be nothing. It started to shoot at me with its canons, and while it was doing that I took out an electromagnetic pulse device, and deployed it. The machine then crackled with electric sparks going off everywhere. The robot was disabled and the five men behind it were still in shock. I walked towards the machine and ripped of its Gatling gun from it. I tinkered with it for a while to be able to be fired manually and when I was done, I charged towards them.

More red mists, I could have sworn with all the red mists I'm seeing I could already make a tiny red cloud. All the ten henchmen were dead, and now Agent X was standing at the corner of the hall looking shocked.

I pointed my gun at Agent X, who looked at me in disbelief. Click. The gun was out of bullets. Agent X smiled. I threw away the guns and looked right at him. As soon as my eyes caught his eyes, I smirked.

"Now, its just you and me."

I had no weaponry with me and my semi-auto handguns were out of ammunition. So I lunged at him quickly with my clenched fist. I went straight for his face, but Agent X easily dodged it. He was fast, I'd give him that. I kept sending the punches and he dodges them all without breaking a sweat. Then when he saw an opening in my attacks, he gave me a terrific blow to my gut. I lost balance and fell straight to the ground. I tried to get back up, but my efforts were not paying off. "Steel-reinforced skeleton, not bad don't you think?" he sneered. I knew it. There was no way a man like him could deliver a fatal blow such as that. When I finally got back on my feet, he delivered another punch, on my head, causing absolute dizziness and unbearable pain within. I knew I couldn't overpower him, but there was a chance of outsmarting him. I looked around the abandoned factory for any object that could save my life. Then something caught my eye, an infrared laser. If its true that Agent X has steel-reinforced skeleton, the radiation would heat him up from the inside. It would be like cooking a raw chicken from the inside out.

I still lie down on the ground waiting for Agent X to fall for my trap. As he came close enough, I kicked him straight in the gut, leaving him stunned, and I ran quickly to the infrared laser. Soon after Agent X has regained his focus, I was already ready with the infrared laser. There was a moment of silence, which I broke with the sound of the switch being flipped. Agent X looked towards the laser, which is gaining energy from its power source. Agent X smiled and embraced his final moments of his life. By the time the infrared laser hit him, he was disintegrated in an instant, destroying my watch at the same time. The alarm rang at last, and I knew it was over. Agent X is dead. The chase is finally over and the hunt as well. I stood in relief for a moment, before I remembered about Cassie. I turned my head around and I saw her still lying on the ground.
