Chapter 31

A long time later (10 years later)

Courtney's POV

' ADAM! ARE YOU READY YET? ' I Shouted

' YEAH! ONE SECOND ' He shouted back

After a minute, he ran down and grabbed his soccer bag.

' You have P.E today? ' I asked

' Nah, I'm just gonna play with the boys after school on the pitch ' he said

' Alright then ' I said and rubbed his hair

' Mum! No rubbing my hair! ' he said and took my hand away from his hair. He then fixed it again

' Aww, is it for a special girl? ' I asked

' Mum! I told you! I'm not dating any girl! ' he said and continued fixing his hair

' Come on then! ' I said

' Alright ' he said and walked out of the house.

I smiled and locked the door. I unlocked my car and then he jumped in.

I jumped in and started to drive

It was silence for a bit until Adam broke the silence.

' D-did, Dad, you know, like, ever play football? ' He asked and then looked at his fingers

I giggled

' Your dad was incredible at football, I even think sometimes that he could make the Leeds team ' I said and looked at him

' I think i remember him once, he was doing kickups for me, I really don't know ' he said and frowned

' You bet he was ' I smiled

' Really? ' he asked and looked at me

I nodded

' I still wish he never got hit by a car ' he said and I frowned

I had to tell him a lie about Simon.

' Alright, off you go ' I said

' Bye Mum ' I said

' Goodbye Adam ' I said

He smiled and then ran to his mates.

I grabbed my phone and then took a quick selfie and posted it on Instagram (Soz, I know its small)

I then drove back home and took a quick nap.

Simon's POV

' Its no use going there ' Sam said

' Yeah, but its worth a try ' I said and put my head in my hands

' Simon, its been 10 fucking years, we still never found her, what's the point going to another place? ' Sam said

' I will never give up. You can stay but I will find her, no matter how long it takes ' I said

' Ok, fine! I will come with you ' she said

I ran upstairs and grabbed the box with the ring in it.

We are going to Leeds.
