I get up from the floor and shove him off the bed. He falls to the floor this time and I lean over him laughing. He pulls me down and we stare at each other.
"Azalea.."
My alarm goes off. School is about to start. I push him off and take off downstairs.
"Hunter! Come on! We're gonna be late!"
I see him in his usual clothing. A plain white T-shirt and black jeans. He slowly walks down the steps and I get aggravated from his sloth moves. I groan and he finally grabs his keys and we leave. Turns out we had 10 more minutes. Hunter is glaring at me, I can feel it but I choose to ignore him. He could have had more sleep.
I hear Hunter sigh in annoyance. Well, you can never be too cautious about school, right? It's not my fault that I like to be on time. Hunter knows that very well.
"You do know that I could've slept more?''
"Yea. I'm sorry."
This morning was a little strange. He was on top of me and he looked like he wanted to confess something. I wonder how things are going with him and Rose. Although. he doesn't talk about her like he did that one time.
Once again, I open my locker and all these notes and other knickknacks. It's sweet and I think it's cute, but I think it needs to stop. It's starting to get a little weird for me.
There seems to be a lot more than usual and it's hard to put all this away without people seeing. Awkward as it is, it's kind of funny.
Hunter still won't tell me who they are from. I might spy on him during my free time and see who this admirer is and while I'm at it, I'll see who this Rose chick is too. I will get to the bottom of this no matter how challenging it may occur.
I see Hunter talking to some girl. They depart from each other and I lose sight of Hunter.
"So, how's the spying coming along?"
A voice comes out of no where which makes me jump.
"Hunter! Don't do that again!" I swat his arm and he laughs. "And FYI, I'm not spying." I chirp. He knows I'm lying.
He grins.
"Yea, I can tell your spying on me."
"What?" I squeak. "Me? Spy on you? Pfftt! Why I never!"
"I can tell you're lying." he grins.
Hunter takes hold of my arm. "School is over." he assures me.
"Really?"
"Yea, it was a half day."
I hadn't realized how short the day was. My mind had Hunter all over it and I bet that is what my face shows as well. How embarrassing. I hop in the car and we stop to get something to eat. On half days we never have lunch and also the fact that we skipped breakfast. My fault yet again.
"Was that Rose?"
He sighs. "Yea." He doesn't look at me. "Let's just get something to eat."
I stay quiet.
I pay for the meal, but Hunter keeps on insisting. Yea, the guy is suppose to take care of that, but I feel bad. I don't want him to pay for all of the food. I win the battle and pay half.
"What should we do since we have the rest of the day?" he implies.
"Maybe we should go to the movies or something."
"The movies it is."
We head straight for the movies. Here comes the real problem with the movies. We always argue to see what movie one of us wants to see. I want to see something scary. He wants to see action. Not many of our kind of movies is here on the list.
