Chapter 7 - Live streaming

"Someone said we could make a video" Ethan says and I nod, we could but I don't think I wanna be in it.
"Dude we already have a video for next week" Grayson says and I breath out. I don't want to be rude, but if I should be in one of their videos I want to know them a little bit better.
"Someone asked if we could make a live stream!" Ethan says and get really excited. Again isn't that like making a video?
"Yeah we could do that!" Grayson says and I start getting nervous.
"Do you want to, Maddie?" Ethan asks me and I feel the sweat on my forehead.
"I don't feel that good, I think I'll go to the bathroom. You can just live stream or whatever" I say and stand up. You are not good at making new friends Maddie! They love making videos and live streams, so you should get your nervous ass back and just go for it! No, no I can't.
I walk into the bathroom and sit down on the toilet. I don't need to take a shit right now, but I really don't want to be in their live stream. I know it's kinda silly, but hey I'm normally not a girl that gets attention, and they are famous! Look how much attention they get! After 30 seconds they had hundreds of girls replying on Twitter!
I take my phone out of my pocket and start scrolling through my Twitter.
I wish I could take the attention, but I can't. That one girl we met on the beach was sweet, but I know how many mean bitches there are out in the world. It's the same as if Justin Bieber had a girl by his side on Instagram, everyone would ask who the fuck she is. Maybe they are just close friends? Wait have I just replaced Ethan and Grayson with Justin? I'm crazy, I'm really crazy.
I have to walk out there, I don't want them to feel like I hate that they are famous, cause I don't.
I walk out of the bathroom and see Ethan and Grayson sitting on the couch.
"What about your live stream?" I ask and sit down beside them.
"We didn't want to make a live stream if you're feeling sick or something" Grayson says and I feel a smile on my lips.
"But are you okay?" Ethan asks and I nod.
"I'm good thanks" I say and smile.
"Well shall we start the live stream then?" Grayson asks and my heart drops. I thought they didn't want to.
"Sure" I say and give them a fake smile.
Grayson takes his computer and puts it on the table. In under 5 minutes the live stream is on.
"Hey you guys! I don't know how many of you there are here right now, but hi!" Grayson says and I just smile at the camera.
"Oh there's 46 people watching! Hello!" Ethan says and waves.
"Ask us some questions, we would love to answer as many as possible" Grayson says and starts scrolling through the comments to the live stream.
"Oh one asks who the girl over here is, and do you wanna introduce yourself?" Grayson asks and they both look at me.
"I'm Maddie" I say and smile.
"She was in our last video, the one with the prank" Ethan says and I nod.
"So.. Oh another question! What color socks do we have on?" Grayson says and looks down at his feet.
"I have black on" Ethan says.
"Mine is white" Grayson says and then they both look at me.
"I don't have socks on" I say and they both laugh. I laugh too, but I don't know what we are laughing at.
I look over at the computer, and see some of the comments.
'What is she doing with them?'
'I think I should sit there instead of her'
'She looks gorgeous'
'I wish I had eyes like her!'
'What is going on with her hair?'
'She trying to take my husbands!'
'I like rainbows'
'Is it just me, or does she look really nervous?'
'Poor girl! You girls shouldn't be that mean to her, she is just their friend'
'What if she is dating one of them?'
'If she is, I'm gonna take the first flight to LA and slap her in the face!'
'Yeah she must be a slut or something!!'
'I still love rainbows'
The boys keep talking and answer questions, but I can't think about other things than the comments, the rude ones, and the few sweet ones.
"Hey boys, I'm gonna take some water, I'll be right back" I say and leave the couch, I walk over to the fridge. I can still see the boys sitting on the couch. I open the fridge and start looking for some water.
"Boys where the heck do you have water?" I ask still looking in the fridge. Ethan runs over to me, and helps me find it.
"Here you go" he says and gives me a water bottle.
"Thank you" I say and smile. I find a cup and start filling it up with water.
"Hey Maddie?" I hear Ethan say really quite.
"Yeah?" I say back.
"Are you okay? And this time, be honest" he says and looks serious at me.
"Yeah I'm fine" I say. I know it's a lie.
"You don't look fine" he says. I start drinking the water, cause I don't know what to say.
"Is it because of the comments?" He asks. I still don't answer. Should I tell the truth?
"Listen they shouldn't bother you, they are just jealous of you" he says and go a little bit closer to me.
"Thanks Ethan, it's just a little bit too much right now" I say, and finish drinking my water.
"If it is, I can tell them" he says.
"I don't want to make any trouble, just let me stand here" I say and smile.
"Guys are you coming?" Grayson yell and I look at Ethan with a look that says 'you should go' he looks at me for a few seconds and then walks over to Grayson again.
"Maddie? Are you coming?" Grayson yells and I turn around to see both of them looking at me. I look at Ethan, then at Grayson and then back at Ethan.
Ethan looks at the camera again and then takes a deep breath.
"Guys Maddie is not feeling that good about what you are saying about her, and I get that. I don't know what you are thinking about when you are talking bad about her, cause you shouldn't. She's just as much a human as you, and she is our friend. So please stop the hate, it's not fun for any of us" he says and Grayson looks shocked at him.
"Wow bro, that's deep" Grayson says and puts a hand on his back.
"Thank you Ethan" I say. I'm shocked, I really am.
What Ethan just said was.. Really sweet. I can't believe he said that.
"You're welcome, but now you have to come back!" He says and smiles.
I smile back and walk over to the couch again.
Grayson makes a gab between Ethan and him so I can sit between them. Before I was sitting beside Ethan, so it makes me more welcome.
" there's one that asks: what is you favorite animal?"
"Oh I love Penguins" I say without thinking about the camera.
"Penguins are so cool! But I have to say Gizmo the bird. I miss him so much" Grayson says.
"I'll have to say Gizmo too" Ethan says.
Wait they have a pet?
We keep answering questions and it's actually pretty fun. I sometimes look at the comments and there's still some rude ones but not as bad as before. The one that loves rainbows is so funny, and make things funny. Some of the girls argue, but she keeps saying that she loves rainbows and I can't stop laughing.

"It was so fun live streaming today! It has been so long since last time! But I don't think Ethan can take another minute" Grayson says and laughs. I look at Ethan, he's so sweet when he sleeps.
"Thanks for 2 amazing hours! We'll see you soon" Grayson says and waves at the camera. He locks his computer and puts it away.
"Should we wake him up?" Grayson asks.
"No let him sleep" I say.
"I'll carry him into his bed" Grayson says. And lifts him carefully. He's really strong. I would have fall down immediately.
Grayson walks slowly into Ethan's room and places him on his bed. I take his duvet and lay it on him before walking out of his room with Grayson.
"What is the time?" I ask.
"I think it's like 8pm" he says.
"I should probably head home" I say and walk out to the living room/kitchen.
"Wait you can't" he says and I look confused at him.
"It's really dark outside, and you'll have to walk home" he says.
"It's not that dark, and plus I have my skateboard" I say and point at it.
"I'll have to follow you home then" he says.
"No you don't, I'm not 5 years old" I say and walk over to my skateboard.
"What about your family can't they come and get you?" He asks.
"Well I could try call my dad?" I say.
"Great! Do that" he says and sits down in the couch.
I take my phone out of my pocket and find my dads number.
It starts ringing but he doesn't answer.
"He's not picking up his phone" I say.
"We could watch a movie and wait for him to call back?" He asks, and I nod.
"We could do that" I say.
"Good, what movie do you wanna watch?" He asks.
"I don't know, I'll let you choose" I say.
He finds a movie, that I didn't really get the name of. He sits down on the couch, next to me.
"Do you want a blanket or anything?" He asks, and I nod.
"That would be nice" I say and smile.
"We'll have to share then" he says and laughs. Not like it's really funny, but I get why he's laughing.
We take the blanket on and make it feel comfortable.
I start feeling a little bit tired, and my head gets heavy. In just a few seconds I feel my head on his shoulder and my eyes close.
I could really lay like this forever.
