"We were part of a security unit assigned to protect wolves when they have large meetings. There was a recent meeting with several Alphas from around the world, the three of us were ordered to collect information on you and Shadow White. The Alphas are also working with Hunters and large rogue packs, one of which is where we came from," Alex explains and I shake my head in disbelief.
"Is that everything?" I ask.
"Yes," he mutters but I hear his heart beat change.
"Is that all?" I growl angrily and he stares at me.
"No, there is another meeting coming up," he says and I nod.
"Right, the one where they are all going to try to figure out how to kill me," I snort.
"It is set for two months from now," he says.
"Where?" I growl.
"In the center of the Arctic Circle," he tells me. I turn to leave but pause, remembering his words earlier.
"You said you were from a rogue pack?" I ask.
"Yes," he sighs.
"Is it just a big group of rogues who decided they wanted to call themselves a pack of is it actually official?"
"It is official. We have an Alpha, Beta, and a Gamma. We have over 250 wolves in my pack, most of them are Lycans," he smirks and I nod.
"What is your pack's name?" I ask and he laughs.
"I'm not stupid, there is no way I am giving you the name of my pack so that you can go ahead and destroy it," he scoffs and I shrug.
"That's alright, I have all three of your names, I can still find out what I want to know, all I have to do is hack into the database that keeps record of all of the official packs in the world," I smirk. His face falls as he realizes his mistake.
"You little bitch! Don't you dare go anywhere near my pack!" He snarls.
"Relax, I don't really care that much about your pack, I have bigger things to worry about. Let's go Hailey, I need your help with a few things." She grabs my outstretched hand and I pull her to her feet.
"Are you alright?" I ask her and she shows me her wrist with a grin.
"It worked," she laughs, looking at her arm as well.
"What the hell? Didn't she cut open your arm and slit your wrist?" Alex yells, confusion evident in his voice.
"Yeah, I just healed really quickly thanks to a quick transfusion of my Alpha's blood here," she says, looking at me with a smile.
"You knew she was going to torture you to get me to talk?" He asks, his voice hoarse and depressed.
"Are you kidding me? The damn thing was my idea! I told her about how much you liked me, and said she should use me to get you to open your mouth!"
His face is crestfallen. He looks at her with sorrow in his eyes that suddenly turns to anger.
"How could you do something so cruel?" He screams and she runs up to him, getting in his face.
"I did it to take care of my pack and my family! You are a threat! You had information that we needed in order to protect my pack and I knew exactly how to get it!" She growls and I smile a little.
"I thought you cared about me," he whimpers and I roll my eyes.
"I never cared about you Alex, I hated you, I still hate you. I was just trying to be nice, but obviously that came off the wrong way," she spits before stalking into the forest. I motion for Derek to go with her and he leaves with a respectful nod.
