Princess Clary (One Direction Fan Fiction)

     Niall was laying on my bed, staring at his phone, while I tried to stuff as many outfits as possible into a bag for the beach. Liam had gotten a house rented through Airbnb. It was a little cottage on the water and we had it just for the night.

"How have you been Clary?" Niall asked suddenly, sticking his phone in his pocket before sitting up on the bed. I sighed, trying to pretend I didn't hear him. "Why did you move in here?" he asked. "What happened?"

I stopped packing for a moment, looking down at my hands to avoid Niall's eyes. "I left home because of this," I said quietly, showing him the now darkened bruise on my arm. "I didn't expect you to come home on the same day." Niall's gentle fingers brushed over my arm.

"Toby is great to take care of you," he said, motioning for me to sit beside him. "He and I will do everything in our power to keep you safe princess." I smiled at that and kissed his cheek before zipping up my bag.

I followed Niall out into the hall where everyone was waiting for us. I shot Toby my best smile and he gave me one back. The drive to the house was only an hour and I decided to fall asleep between Niall and Louis. I woke up to both of them getting out of the car.

The house sat on the shore and it was adorably small. It had a little back porch that faced the water. Inside, there was basically one big room, like a cabin. I dropped my bag on the floor before sitting on one of the rocking chairs on the back porch.

"It'll be nice to get away Clary," Toby said, resting his hands firmly on my shoulders. I smiled at Harry and Niall already in the water, screaming about how cold it was.

"Let's go in!" I said, getting up and pushing past Toby so I could change into a bathing suit. I joined Harry and Niall in the water while Louis and Liam made dinner. Toby fell asleep on the porch instantly. All of the sudden, Niall picked me up and threw me into deeper water, drenching me. I pulled Harry and Niall under with me, laughing along with them until tears ran down my cheeks.

Louis came out onto the porch, smiling at us. "It's time for dinner guys!" he yelled, waking Toby as well. We all came inside for dinner which consisted of pasta and meatballs. After dinner, we all curled up in front of the television to watch a movie and I dozed off between Niall and Toby.

AN - Hello! I know this chapter isn't very long but I felt the need to start updating at least one of my stories every day. I will be working in order from now on, updating the least updated story first, so I don't have any story that falls behind one of the others. My AP test is this Friday (5/6/2016) and after that, I will have plenty of time for writing.
