POV Quinn.

I stir the content of the cup with my head resting on one of my hands. My eyelids are closing and I'm sure i have big bags under my eyes.

I hadn't gotten a wink of sleep all night. Harry's threat has not stopped ringing in my head since the time he said it. The exact tone of his voice have sounded in my dreams that have become nightmares. I have to get it out of my head and forget about it but I'm sure it wouldn't be so simple.

Last night, after that little incident, I climbed upstairs and Jared wasn't there. I went to my father's office to pick up my bag and he seemed to be immersed in the research of the full name of the boy who was still arrested. I kissed his cheek and walked away without saying anything of the threat. I didn't want to worry him and make Harry angrier. I don't know what he may be able to.

The fridge door is closed and my mother move closer the bottle with the orange juice. After placing it on the table, she sits and adjusts the belt of her robe. A smile adorns her pretty face.

"You look tired, honey " She says while pouring the orange liquid into a crystal glass.

I stop the movement of the bucket and give a long sip of my latte. My stomach is unsettled and I don't feel like eating anything.

"I haven't had a good night " I sigh.

My mother lovingly caresses my arm and looks at me with those sparkling blue eyes.

"Your father came late last night"

My body tenses again, nervous. All my being wishes that he hadn't found all the information he needed to retain Harry longer. I need all the information possible and I'm sure my mother is aware of all the details.

"When I left, he was too busy looking for information from one of the guys in the fight" I remark without showing too much interest .

My mother takes a sip of her coffee. I surround my cup with both hands and warm my frost palms.

"It seems that he was released a while later. A man came claiming that the bar owner wouldn't press charges and it was true. Your father contacted the owner and he said he had changed his mind " the woman explained.

My body relaxes. If Harry has got out with no problem, the threat wouldn't accomplish . All the tension is gone from my body after yesterday's long night.

"Anyway, he said that there's something unsual and look into it"

It seems that I shouldn't be so calm. Why can't my dad let it go for once? It has been a stupid bar fight. I'm sure he is paranoid and nothing happens with Harry.

I took the last sip of my coffee cup before continuing talking to my mother:

"Which time does Ryan arrive?"

I try to deflect Harry's issues to take the dark thoughts away from my mind.

My mother's face seems to light up when my brother comes up in the conversation. I love seeing her so happy, she hasn't smiled that way doe long time.

"In a couple of hours" she responds with a smile.

I return the gesture and get up to put the empty cup in the sink. I have to get dressed and tidy my room before Ryan comes home. I head upstairs after kissing my mother on the cheek. I'll take a bath before getting dressed as I urgently need relaxation. The news that my father has released Harry but will continue to look relatively reassured me. I'm not sure how real his threats are, but by his voice, they seem quite real.

After filling the tub, I take off the short summer pajamas and get into the warm water slowly. My skin heats up fast and I feel my cheeks turn red. I lean over the back and close my eyes enjoying the warmth. I have to clear my mind before I get completely crazy.
