"Soul? Soul, come on! It's the new school year wake up!"
Maka shouts from the kitchen, annoyance evident in her tone.

"Do I have to?" Soul mumbles.

"hurry up!" She yells back.

"Soul~kun? Blair~chan made breakfast don't you want some?
Or would you rather just stay in bed with me instead?" Blair purrs slyly, slinking over to Soul.

"Um No thanks!" Soul shouts, hurley jumping from the bed.

"Let's go Maka." He rushes, grabbing the young girls hand and pulling her from the house.

"Soul, you idiot." She sighs, swatting him off her.

"I'm just a cool dude, not an idiot." He exclaims proudly.

"You definitely look like an idiot to me." She huffs hotly, looking him up and down.

"Pfft, sounds like your just jealous to me." He smirks.

"Whatever. " She rolls her eyes. "We're going to be late if we just stand around here, let's get ready to go." Maka rushes as they run out of the house, heading to their school,
DWMA.

"Yo, BlackStar what's up?" Soul waves to the assassin.

"Nothing really, just hope we can pass Dr.Stein's class this year with a passing grade." BlackStar whines, highfiving the boy.

"Hey Maka, how many souls have you and Soul collected so far?" Tsubaki asks.

(Tsubaki is Blackstar's shadow weapon, and Soul is Maka's scythe. Both wepons have human forms and DWMA is a school for the soul collectors to learn how to work together and use their powers better)

"Well about 23." Maka replied sadly.

"We only have 3, which is sorta a record. I just wish BlackStar would take things more seriously though sometimes. Since we need 99 kishin souls and 1 witches soul, and like I said we only have 3." Tsubaki said shyly.

"It's okay, at least you guys got 3! Soon you'll definitely have more!" Maka reassures , giving the girl a soft hug.

"Yeah!" Tsubaki cheers hugging the girl back.

"Let's get to class." Maka starts. "Soul come on." She continues staring at the two boys.

"Nah I think I'll pass." He replied irritably.

"I thought you wanted to make a good grade in dr. Steins class?" Maka asks sarcastically.

"Just mind your own business! You're being such a useless, annoying meister. If you wanna get soooo good, just go by yourself." Soul shouted angrily, glaring at the girl.

"Woah, Soul, that was uncalled for." BlackStar grumbles, suddenly backing up to stand next to his chain scythe, Tsubaki who had her hand over her mouth.

As relization hit Soul, he tried to apologize, "Maka I-I didn't mean--" only for him to get cut off by Maka.

"You know what? Just go do what you want. I don't care anymore." she sobbed, tears trailing down her face as she spoke.
