The middle

I sat there tapping my pen impatiently, yet still focused. I start to get antsy, then the bell rings. I feel the aroma of heat swish around the room, as the kids shuffle to get passed the door. I start heading for the door, waving good-bye to the lady, and she gives me a wave back.

I walk down the crowded stair way, heading for the blue, rusted-metal, heavy door and push it open with all my force.  I take a step into the wet. I look up, and a drop lands on the left-side of my forehead. Rain. I love rain. It brings dark, gray cloudy-sky's. I enjoy the dark. The dark and I are friends, best friends.

I think start walking to my designated "meeting" area, as I've done all this year. I look down and notice my drenched shoes and soaking hair. I mumble to my self "screw umbrella's." Then someone in front of me turns around and gives me an odd look. Im use to those, so I just brush it off.

I continue to walk until I reach the usual spot. I see "him." He's standing laughing with peers. I decide to walk over to him and get him to acknowledge the fact that I've arrived to our spot. He then waves good-bye to his peers and I watch his lips curve into a perfect smile. We then continue to walk.

We start all our conversation's with how our day has gone. Interesting, boring, and of course the usual stuff. We stop at yet another spot, this time we split up here. I go up hill and he proceeds the opposite way. We now understands it's time to leave each other so we say our good-bye's with hugs.

As his arms swing around my body I start to feel my blood rush faster, and my heart pump quicker. How can someone make me feel like with just over a hug?? This is insane. I then start to feel his warm breath on my neck, fighting the urge to hug him tighter. I close my eyes to take-in the last couple seconds of this moment.

We then both pull away from the hug, give each other a quick stare... And go our separate ways.
