Chapter 2

Naruto sighed and flopped onto one of the couches. "Well, at the least; it's an easy choice. ANBU is-" Naruto interrupted the Hokage before he finnished. "It's not actually. This may be our only chance to plant a spy in ROOT. ANBU is the best choice for me, but ROOT is the best choice for the village." Naruto said after he put up silencing seals.

Sarutobi's age seemed to become more prominent after the seal was set up. "So, I'm guessing that to join the 'secret' ROOT, I have to deny any and all ties with the village. Danzo will come after me, put me under genjutsu then train me into a monster." Naruto said as he relaxed on the red couch.

"That would be the best way yes. But think harder about this Naruto, you have a week to decide to 'leave' or join ANBU." Sarutobi said with a drag of his pipe, Naruto sighed and stood up. Naruto undid the seal, then sensed someone pushing chakra to the seal in order to break it.

Naruto bowed to the Hokage, then left the room to heal Kakashi. Naruto faintly saw a black cloak with red clouds, and a black flowing hair in a pony tail. 'Itachi-nii' Naruto thought as the cloak vanished around a corner. Naruto sighed and walked to Kakashi and kicked him to get his attention.

Kakashi looked up at Naruto and smiled at the blond. Naruto kneeled down and healed Kakashi. ROOT agents who were waiting for Naruto were shocked as he healed a severed tendon like it was a scrape.

'Danzo-sama will be very happy with this information.' A ROOT agent told himself as he dissappeared without a trace left. Kakashi and Naruto walked out of the tower and went their separate ways. As Naruto walked he absent-mindedly made his mangekyo bloom.

ROOT agents who were watching Naruto were so shocked that they accidentally let their chakra signatures rise. Naruto already knew their location, but he humored himself by giving the ROOT a knowing smile and a wink. The agents vanished to tell Danzo the new information.

Naruto walked to the Uchiha compound, where he had lived for some time of his life. He was kicked out a year after he was kicked out of the orphanage. Fugaku had tried to allow Naruto to stay in the compound only for the council to overthrow his vote.

the moment Naruto entered the heavy wooden gates a large fireball was sent at him. Naruto smiled, then ran at the flames. Naruto relaxed his body and slid on his knees under the ball of fire. Sasuke was on the other side of the red flames.

Naruto jumped up and used both legs to kick Sasuke in the chest. Sasuke was sent flying back into the dirt of the unpaved street of the compound. Sasuke smirked and sat up with a pain in his chest. "I'll finally beat you Naruto-nii." Sasuke said as he got into a rigid taijutsu stance.

Naruto shifted, his body facing sideways towards Sasuke. One arm along the back of his waist, the other making a 'come' motion. "We'll see." The two set off at equal speeds, Naruto holding back, and Sasuke pushing himself to the limits.

The two met with face splitting smiles. Sasuke was being overpowered by Naruto's blows. Naruto jumped back and and stood straight. "First Gate; The gate of opening." Naruto's body began leaking a large amount of lime green chakra.

Sasuke took a step back, then quickly steeled himself. Sasuke went through familiar hand signs, then brought his right hand up to his mouth and blew a fireball. Naruto simply raised his hands and clapped. The chakra infused motion created a large shockwave that easily defused Sasuke's fireball.

Naruto then went through his own hand signs, "Wind release: Dragon's flight." An insane amount of wind slammed against the ground below Naruto. The force of the wind shot Naruto into the air and knocked Sasuke over. Sasuke fell to the ground and looked up to see that Naruto reached the max height of his flight.
