BANNER: PICTURE OF HAYDEN.
Chapter 22
"Room number 2, how many nights are you going to stay, sir, may I ask?" Hayden groaned, we were back in the reception and he was doing all the check-in paperwork for Graham.
Why in the worlds did Graham come? Didn't he had enough with lying to me?
"The same number of nights this lady next to me stays," Graham cleared while I rolled my eyes in annoyance.
"Alright..." Hayden muttered under his breath, "Then, here you have..." He handed Graham the room key which he grabbed instantly. Then he started walking to the elevator and pressed the call button.
I flexed my jaw staring at Hayden, "You... wanted to tell me something back there when we were playing cricket, right?" I asked him as the memory of his face approaching to mine came to my mind.
He blushed, "Yeah... But... I mean..." He coughed slightly, "Never mind, it was nothing..."
I arched my eyebrows, I wanted him to tell me the truth! After Graham shattered my heart in pieces Hayden had been the one who had fixed me in the faster and best way possible. Even though I couldn't deny that when I looked at Graham my heart still skipped a beat and my hands started shaking, I knew he was nothing but fake boy material.
As soon as I heard the sound of the elevator ringing announcing its appearence I turned around on my heels and rushed to get inside the elevator next to Graham and leaving Hayden behind.
When he saw me he instantly smirked, and my heart started beating faster.
But no! Laura, no! You can't let Graham get you like that. Act serious, act serious...
"Why are you smirking at me like that?" I managed to say.
Graham shrugged and pointed at himself, "Me? Smirking?" He widened his eyes, "What?"
I blowed away a flock of hair and looked at him with anger, "Don't play with me, Fisher."
The elevator ringed once again and led us to the first floor, in where our rooms were located. Graham walked out slowly and I followed him. Once out he turned around we locked gazes.
"How did you find me?" I asked him trying to sound as serious as possible.
"A magician never reveals its tricks," He tilted his head taking a step forward, "I was worried."
I winced, "What the hell, Graham? How can you be so fucking bipolar?"
"What's with the swearing?" He muttered widening his eyes.
"Don't change the subject."
He swallowed hard and started, "Look, I really want to explain to you what happened yesterday with Johanna but I'm afraid you won't believe me..."
I rubbed the back of my head with frustration, "Then don't explain it to me, if you're so sure I won't take it."
He bit his lip, "But I do want to tell you, 'cause I hate it when we're mad at each other, it makes me feel lonely. You're the only person who truly understands me..." He dropped my gaze.
He couldn't get me so easily, he wouldn't. I had learnt from the last times. His acting skills were really good, that's to say, but I had to stay strong and try not to fall into his paws again.
"Look Graham," I whispered running my hand through his arm, from his wrist to his shoulder. I felt how he shivered and I smiled evily, "You are a lost case, we've already discussed this a bunch of times. You just atract me back because of your pretty little charms, not because of what you have inside, because really... you're empty inside."
