Stevie had spent the night lying in her bed, trying to sleep but never quite getting there. Sara had joined her in her bed at some point and Robin was asleep in the guest room across the hall. As the sun started to shine through the gaps in the curtains, she opened her eyes and chuckled at her daughter. Her tiny body somehow taking up half the mattress with her crazy curls framing her face. Looking at her beautiful, innocent daughter seemed to make her feel so much more relaxed about her situation. Sure, it would be hard to raise Sara on her own, never mind the new baby coming soon. But she knew that if it was possible to love one tiny person as much as she loved Sara, she could do it.

When Sara woke they went downstairs and started making some pancakes. Sara was a complete nut for cooking and Stevie knew that if Sara was happy, then she would be too. Robin soon joined them, sitting thoughtfully at the kitchen bench until she finally broke her silence. "Look Stevie, what I said before about...." She trailed off, not wanting to make Sara suspicious. "I was wrong, he's an A-S-S-H-O-L-E." She spelled out, which made Stevie chuckle while Sara mixed the batter in blissful ignorance. "I just thought that this whole raising two kids on your own thing would be just so hard."
"Yeah but-" Stevie interrupted and Robin held up her hand to stop her.
"I thought that until I remembered how strong you are Steves. You can do it on your own, I mean you're practically doing it already. Even when the new baby comes I can help, your mom can help. It takes a village Steves and you definitely have one." When Robin finished Stevie's eyes were glistening with tears as she turned off the stove before walking toward Robin and embracing her in a tight hug.
"I love you so much Robin, you're the best friend I've ever had. Thank you for backing me up on this."

Their morning was light after that, making pancakes and playing with Sara until they heard a knock on the door. Robin jumped up, thinking it was Don she was immediately defensive of her best friend. "I'll go tell him to P-I-S-S off." Stevie smiled in appreciation and was left on the floor with Sara, preparing herself for the screaming match she knew was about to take place between her husband and best friend.

Robin opened the door in anger. "What the fu-" she stopped speaking when she saw a different curly haired singer in front of her. "Lindsey?"
Lindsey chuckled in response, "well hello to you too Robin!" He said still laughing, but slightly confused at her presence at the house, concerned that it had something to do with Stevie's state yesterday.
"Lindsey! It's good to see you!" She tried to sound like she wasn't as surprised as she was on the inside. "What are you doing here?"
Lindsey chuckled nervously and ran a hand through his hair. "I errr had Stevie's pram from a few days ago, we were supposed to go to coffee today but she must have forgotten, I just brought it over because I thought she might want it."
Robin was beyond confused at the situation with Lindsey and Stevie and couldn't seem to thinks straight. "Umm yeah sure I'll just go get her for you." She said quickly before disappearing back into the house.

Robin emerged back into the living room to a confused Stevie. "He went away that easily?"
"It's not Don, it's Lindsey." Robin said, confusion still etched on to her face. Lindsey?... Lindsey! Oh shit! "Shit! I forgot!" She jumped to her feet.
"Yeah you forgot, you forgot to tell me you were in touch with Lindsey again, going out for coffee slash exchanging prams with him!"
Stevie couldn't help but laugh at Robins reaction.
"Oh my god Robin, I thought I was meant to be the drama queen in this friendship!" She took a quick look at herself in the mirror. "Chill out we just bumped into each other the other day and I left my pram. We wanted to catch up so we were going to meet for coffee today but I forgot!" Once again conveniently leaving out the accidental kiss from yesterday.
"Ok ok sorry, but you should probably go out there, invite him in maybe..." Robin scooped Sara up in her arms "Sara and me can go for a long walk?" Stevie knew where she was going with this and had to shut it down before Robin got too carried away.
"Stay out of it Robin. And that won't be necessary, you and Sara can stay right here." She said definitively before striding towards the front door to be met with Lindsey's calmingly beautiful blue eyes.
