AN - Hey i'm finally updating! yay! I was diagnosed with very serious writers block, luckily im a survivor.Ha

Oh god I. Am. Going. To. Die. Here and now. My eyes glazed over and my mouth agape in silent scream. The pain lanced through my body directly from my shoulder, all the way to the soles of my shoes. It took over my senses and left me feeling like the time I accidentally dropped a hot iron onto my lap, but times that by fifty!

The dog was relentless and angry, tearing viciously at my freshly exposed skin. I couldn't fight it, the weight of its oversized paws on my chest wasn't helping by crushing my ribs.

The savage battle cry erupted again from behind the dog, and I knew it was over, more were coming. Or maybe something even worse. The dog seemed confused though, it lifted its head towards the general direction of the sound, which was down the dead end hall way. Big mistake.

I could barley comprehend anything, I wasn't sure that it was a good thing when my body grew numb, but it was a bit of relief. So by the time I heard the shot, I was tipping off the edge of consciousness. "Yeah take that!"

It hurt too bad to move, so I settled for half heartedly listening to the small voice that seemed to echo against the walls of my head. I felt something running towards me so I closed my eyes ready to accept. I almost didn't believe the small gentle hand cupping my face.

"Hey! Lady, c'mon wake up! You can't be dead! C'MON!" I opened my eyes, but my vision was fading, and it was hell just trying to keep them open. "Mom..." I groaned smiling weakly. But the girl staring at me was the very one I had sacrificed myself for. "No... Oh god.. y-you're bleeding." I watched as the girl lifted her trembling hands to touch the skin around the wound. I hissed in pain as she touched the sensitive flesh, digging my nails into my palm.

Bursts of light flashed across my vision feverishly. The girl cringed at my reaction and rubbed my cheek soothingly. "H-hold on." She turned away quickly to retrieve the beat up blue back pack. "I'm gonna try to patch you up okay?" When I didn't answer, she held up a water bottle and held it close to my shoulder.

This was no use in this, she didn't have the right materials, I needed a hospital. But I couldn't tell the kid I was going to die right in front of her. I moved my hand slowly encircling her small wrist. "W-whats your name?" I whispered giving her hand a gentle squeeze. "What?" She sniffed and I realized she was crying, barely able to control her sobs. " W-why?" She tried. "Just tell me..."

The girl didn't speak, instead she looked straight into my eyes, blue piercing gray. They looked older than they should be, like the innocence was taken too early. Which was probably true. She knew. She knew I wouldn't make it.

I sighed looking back up to the ceiling unable to hold her gaze any longer. Now I could feel my brain shutting down, as if I was just going to sleep  again. I closed my eyes and could barely make out the small whisper as I was dragged into relief.

                                 "Adelaide..."

AN - Man whenever I try to write something without the right inspiration it turns out all junky. Meh. This is just a little something before I get serious WHOO FRIDAY! Please tell me what you think! (Even if you think it sucks) I want to improve!
