After an awfully long conversation with Alex and a few empty promises I made to him, I did forgive him, but not without reminding him how much of a douche bag he was.
"Let's go for a walk?" Alex suggested, standing up and holding out his hand for me to take.
"Why?" I questioned him.
"Becuase. I like walking." He stated simply.
"You're going to take me to some dorky, cute, pretty place to make me forgive you and shit, aren't you?" I grinned.
"Of course not!" Alex protested.
"Yeah yeah, let's just go." I huffed.
"Brilliant!" Alex beamed, slipping his hand into mine and pulling me out the door into the crisp afternoon air.
"Are you taking me to that weird spot on the hill?" I asked Alex curiously.
"It isn't "that weird spot on the hill"." Alex complained.
"What's it called then?" I asked him.
"Um. Tom's Place." Alex murmured, his voice barely audiable.
"Oh." I replied, assuming that it was not a subject that Alex particularly cared for.
I followed Alex up the hill, slightly out of breath by the time I reached the top, only to be greeted by Alex, chuckling softly to himself.
"What's so funny Gaskarth?" I mused.
"You're so short, it's hilarious." Alex laughed.
"Fuck off." I groaned.
"Nope. You're stuck with my now." He told me, pulling me into his lap as he leaned against a tree.
"God help me." I muttered.
"Hey!" Alex whined.
"Sorry Lexy." I giggled.
"You suck." He huffed.
"You love me." I protested.
"Whatever." Alex laughed, the noise vibrating through his chest and into my back.
"How are you and Lisa going?" I asked quietly, breaking the comfortable silence that had since surrounded us. I knew Alex and Lisa's relationship hadn't been going so smoothly lately due to Alex spending so much time with me.
"Fine." Alex mumbled dismissvley.
"Really? So that's why she told me to, and I quote, "back off from my boyfriend bitch, he'd never want a worthless skank like you, he doesn't even want to be your friend." Unquote." I mused.
"What the fuck?! She said that? Are you fucking serious? Did she really say that?!" Alex shouted, turning me to face him.
"Don't yell, please." I murmured, "but yes, she said that too me, it's not a big deal, I've heard worse." I finished, laughing humorlessly.
"Sorry," Alex said softly, "but seriously, what the fuck? That is not okay!" Alex ranted angrily.
"Why do you date her?" I blurted.
"What?" Alex asked.
"Lisa. Why do you date her. You're obviously unhappy dating her so why don't you just break up with her?"
Alex laughed softly, "I can't break up with her, she's already made that pretty clear, if I do, she's going to tell the whole world a lot of personal things about me." He sighed.
"How does she know so much personal stuff about you?" I hummed.
"Ali, have you heard of my great friend 'Alcohol'?" Alex asked, sarcasm hinted in his voice.
