Watching Alex break up with Lisa was not a pretty sight.
It happened on Tuesday, May 19th, at lunch in the cafeteria, about two weeks or so after Jack's party.
I was sitting at my normal table with Jack, Matt and a few other people I'd been introduced to, when we heard an ear shattering squeal, causing the cafeteria to become so quiet you would be able to hear a pin drop, people's heads swivelling to the sound of the noise.
"What do you mean you're breaking up with me Lexy? Do you want space? I can give you space. Are we just taking a break? Do you need me to leave? I'll give you as much alone time as you need, I promise Lexy! You don't mean this, I love you! You love me!" Lisa screeched, pawing at Alex's chest.
"I'm not breaking up with you, I don't want you to give me as much space as I need and we are not taking a break. I'm dumping you Lisa. I don't love you." Alex said nonchalantly, prying Lisa's fingers from his bicep.
"Lexy!" Lisa cried, "what do you mean you don't love me? You've always loved me! You can't break up with me!" She squealed.
"I mean, I don't love you and I never have. I'm dumping you Lisa. That's final." Alex grunted, a few of the boys around him beginning to snicker.
"Fine! I don't need you anyway!" Lisa screamed, storming out of the cafeteria as the boys at Alex's table began to clap Alex on the shoulder or slap him on the back.
"I wonder what made him do that? He's always been so dead set on staying with her?" Matt asked curiously as Alex sent a wink my way.
"No idea." I shrugged as Jack kicked me under the table, grinning at me as I ducked my head to avoid Alex's lustful gaze. I knew he was happy about finally breaking it off with Lisa because he had told me that; "he couldn't wait to be able to call me his girlfriend and show me off to all the other guys."
That afternoon when school finished, Alex convinced me to let him drive me to his place, considering we were all going over to Alex's so the guys could practice.
"You know what this means?" Alex grinned as I slid into the passenger seat.
"What?" I murmured.
"I can call you my girlfriend now. And I can kiss you whenever I please in front of whoever I want." Alex smiled, his fingers entwining with my own as he pulled out of the parking lot.
"Guess that mean's I'll have to call you my boyfriend then." I said sarcastically.
"I'm afraid so, love." Alex said, the smile on his face growing bigger.
"Do we have to tell the guys today? I mean you just broke up with Lisa and all and I don't want them to think I'm some needy bitch." I rambled as we pulled into his driveway.
"Ali, it's fine sweetheart, we can tell them whenever you're ready." Alex said, smiling softly at me.
"Okay." I uttered, as Alex came around to my side of the car, opening the door and looping his arm around my waist as I stepped out of the car.
"Relax, no one's home." He whispered, his voice low, opening the front door and dropping his keys onto the table, one arm still circled around my waist.
"What do you mean by that?" I hummed as he spun me round so that I stood facing him as he wiggled his eyebrows suggestively.
"I mean, it means that I get to do this," Alex murmured, his lips pressing down on mine as his fingers curled around my waist.
I didn't think I would ever get used to the feel of Alex's warm lips on mine, every time he kissed me it shocked me, but in a good way I supposed, leaning up and tilting my head to give Alex more access as his fingers tightened gently.
I let my hands wander up to the back of Alex's neck, my fingers tangling themselves in his smooth, brunette mop of hair as he leaned closer to me, if that was even possible.
Alex let his tongue run along my bottom lip, warm and wet, begging for entrance, which I let him have, raising myself up onto the balls of my feet in a feeble attempt to match Alex's height.
I felt his lips curl into a smile beneath mine, and I knew if I pulled away from him he would be laughing at my attempt to be as tall as him. He shocked me by hooking his hands under my thighs so that I had no choice other than to let him pick me up as he effortlessly lifted me onto the table I had previously been pushed up against, letting him settle himself between my legs.
Alex began to kiss along my jawline, his mouth planting butterfly kisses down the side of my neck as I curled my fingers tighter into his hair, jumping slightly when he let out a breathy moan that echoed into my ear, his lips now harshly sucking on the spot where my neck met my shoulder.
After letting Alex have it his way for a few more seconds, I let my hands cup his jaw, bringing his face back up to mine as he pressed his lips against my own, his hands running through my hair, making me tip my head back slightly as I leaned into the touch.
I quickly jumped away from Alex as the doorbell rang, the noise echoing throughout the house, overpowering the sounds of our heavy breathing.
The warmth of Alex's body pressed against mine was suddenly gone as he stepped away from me to go and open the door whilst I quickly slipped off the table, turning around to the mirror and frowning at the redish-purple mark Alex's lips had left on my skin, wincing as I stupidly ran my fingers over it. I quickly pushed my hair to one side in desperate attempt to cover it before turning around to say hello to the guys before following them downstairs.
I watched the boys play for a while, Alex's gaze barely shifting from my own as his eyes kept flicking down to the spot where my hair was covering my neck, a smirk creeping on to his face every now and then as I subconsciously fixed my hair, begging that the other guys wouldn't see.
I could tell Alex was getting a good kick out of watching me worry about hiding the mark on my neck, the way his eyes lit up with glee and the way the corners of his mouth moulded into a cheeky smirk whenever my hands went up to check that my hair was still covering where I needed it too.
As I followed the guys upstairs to wave them goodbye, Jack nudged me on his way out the door.
"Nice job hiding your boyfriend's work." He grinned, following Rian out the door before I could get a word in.
"Yeah, nice job." Alex smiled, closing the door before leaning down to kiss me.
