The next day I was alone because mom and Craig had taken Abbie out somewhere and Michael was off to god only knows where.

I decided that I'd just stay home and watch tv, maybe order pizza or something considering it was almost 3pm anyway. I wandered around upstairs looking for my old oversized Green Day shirt and some sweatpants before grabbing some clean underwear out of my draw and finding my way to the bathroom.

I opened the door to the shower and turned the tap to the left, letting the water warm up while I stripped my clothes off.

After pulling off my pajamas I stepped into the shower, letting the warm water run down my back and splash onto my shoulders. I closed my eyes for a minute before opening them again and grabbing the bottle of shampoo. I squeezed some into my hand before messily rubbing my hands through my hair and rinsing the suds out a few minutes later. I quickly put conditioner through my hair before washing my body and stopping the water.

I grabbed my towel off the towel rack thing and started toweling the water off my arms and stomach. After I was dry I wrapped my hair up in the towel and pulled on my underwear which was quickly followed by my sweatpants and my shirt.

After I blow dried my hair and found a pair of my fluffy socks I walked downstairs and flicked the TV on and switched through the channels before I decided it was really all just crap. I sighed and got up, bending down to open the cupboard beneath the TV that held all our movies.

I quickly thumbed through them before pulling out my favorite movie of all time, Batman.

I grinned before pushing the DVD into the DVD player and flopping back down on the couch.

For about an hour I sat there quoting the lines of Bruce Wayne/Batman when suddenly there was a knock on the door.

I paused the movie and got up to go and answer it.

I opened the door and saw the boy I met yesterday, Jack, and another boy who I didn't know. He had jet black hair and a cute lip ring.

"Hi!" Jack said brightly.

"Uh hi." I said quietly.

"Um well, Matt and I were wondering if you wanted to come over and play video games with us at mine because Alex is out with Lisa and we need a third player.. So, what do you say?" Jack asked hopefully.

I grinned at them. "I'm in. I'll whoop your asses." I said laughing, shutting off the TV.

"Oh my god were you watching Batman?" Jack gasped.

"Oh. Uh. Yeah." I mumbled.

"Awesome! Alex loooooves batman, it's an awesome movie." Jack explained.

"Oh. Cool." I muttered.

"Jack you idiot she doesn't know who Alex is." Said the boy with the lip ring who Jack said was Matt.

"OH! Right! Alex is my best friend and he's in our band even though we barely see him because he's always out with Lisa." Jack explained, saying Lisa's name with hatred in his voice.

"Oh ok. So, um, are we y'know playing video games?" I asked quietly.

"Yeah! C'mon!" Jack said dragging me out of the house and across the street to his house.

I followed Jack and Matt down into what I assumed was the basement where there was a couch and two beanbags with a massive flat screen TV that was hooked up to an Xbox.

"Ta daaa! Now, what game first? COD or Halo?" Asked Jack.

"COD." I said confidently. I was pretty good at that game, having Michael use me as his second player when he was playing it a few years ago had come in handy.
