Toast Was Never A Tree

Leafy's POV: 

What was all that about? Firey just ran off. He looked like he was really worried about something, and I was going to ask if he was okay, but then he ran away, swinging his arms and legs at an absurd angle. He also said that he might not see me again... it's probably nothing.

Firey's POV:

I messaged Golf Ball about the utter hideousness of the Misu Dragons, and she said there was a 37.912764810635% chance that this would be the last day I live. That's just a little less than 38%! Oh no! 

Five imaginary eggs later...

"I'm home!" I heard my mom say from downstairs as she entered the house. "Well, I'm at home, not actually the ho-"

"THE MISU DRAGONS! THEY'RE BACK AND THEY'RE GONNA USE THEY'RE SUPER SHNOOPER HIGH FREQUENCY NOISES TO KILL US ALL!!!!" I ran down the stairs and panicked.

"Oh, it's probably just some vision or idea you had you silly billy boy." My mother proceeded to to look over to her left, and her eyeballs fell out, but they climbed back into her sockets. There was a Misu Dragon just outside the window chanting, "Toast was never a tree, toast was never a tree." My mother let out a hostile grunt and literally jumped all the way to San Jose, leaving me with a Misu Dragon staring into my soul. The house exploded and caught on fire. Good thing I can survive in flames, so I was able to escape the screeches of nineteen tomato-laying ducks. As you may not know, a duck screech can be fatal, so I shoved their tomatoes into my ears. I barely even cared about the fact that I pretty much just got abandoned, I just hopped onto a herd of rampaging sheep and rode on them for about a manta ray. (A/N a manta ray is a unit of time meaning 8 minutes and 20 seconds, because that's how long it takes for a manta ray to fly from the sun to the Earth. It is also the amount of time it takes for light to travel from the sun to the Earth.) When the herd realized that I was on top of them, they kicked me into the sky and I crashed into someone's bedroom. That someone happened to be Leafy.

Hm? You came for a visit? No, of course you didn't, you aren't real. I will stop pretending that you are an actual thing right now.

Who am I? I constantly ask myself this question. I am known as Doctor Turnip. I look like a turnip, in fact, I am a turnip. I am not a doctor however, and I don't know what it means to be one. I exist in the 'universe of vegetable things', one of the seventeen known universes. I, more specifically, exist in a town called Makawa, and I also recently lost the ability to blink.

Right now, I'm creating a fictional town out of dead vegetables, called Vegetable Place. I have been working on it for centuries, despite me being eleven years old. There's the town hall of cucumbers, the cauliflower store, and the incredible tall tower made of celery. It is home to over a billion carrots. 

As I was placing the parsley to form an airport, I realized that I had been forgetting something from this town. A mayor, of course! So we had an election, and at one vote, I got to be the mayor! Yay! 

Wait, there's someone at the door.

Oh, looks like the hats are here...... 

.......

This again?

Leafy's POV:

"What are you doing here?" I asked Firey when I saw him crash into my room.

"My house was destroyed, my mother pretty much abandoned me, and I never realized how comfortable it is to have tomatoes in your ears!" he replied.

"Wait, what!? So you have no house now?"

"Nope. I am as helpless as a peanut on a highway."

"Jeez.... sorry about that. I wish I could help..."

"Maybe you can!" my dad suddenly barged in. "Firey, we have an extra room that we don't use. Well now, it's all yours!"

Firey smiled an enormous smile. "Thanks," he said simply.

Wait, so now Firey and I live in the same house? This place just keeps on getting dumber and dumber. I fell backwards onto my bed and stared at the ceiling.
