"Pass," Luke whispered loud enough for every one to hear. Ashton sighed. The others rolled their eyes. The therapist bit his lip and scratched his head.
"Luke," Ashton whispered hand on his boyfriends knee, "baby, we're here to get you help. Not for you to pass every time." Ashton wasn't angry, just really sad that Luke wouldn't open up.
"Pass," Luke repeated.
"Stop coming here if you're going to pass every time!" Ashton glared at the girl. He didn't know her name and he wouldn't be bothered to learn it. Luke gulped and hid his head in the crook of his arm.
"Love, do you want me to leave?" Ashton asked, rubbing his lovers arm. "I know you asked me to be here since the beginning, and I have been, but if you want me to go I will. If you feel more comfortable talking without me here, I can understand that."
"Can we just leave?" Luke asked Ashton, not liking the feeling of every one staring at them.
Ashton went to say yes but the therapist, Dr. Quinn, stood up shaking his head."Mr. Hemmings, you need to be here. You need... help." Luke flinched. Never once had one of his many therapists told him he needed help. They've said something along those lines, but much softer.
Ashton stood up and subconsciously stood in front of his boyfriend. "Excuse me? Don't you dare fucking say that to him! I can give him as much as help as you can. The only difference is that I pay you!"
Dr. Quinn looked at Ashton and folded his hands calmly. "Mr. Irwin, you can't take care of him-"
"I can take care of my fucking boyfriend just fine, thank you!" Luke has never heard Ashton swear this much.
"You didn't let me finish." Dr. Quinn sat back down expecting Ashton to follow suit but he remained standing. "You can't take care of him the way he needs. You help him emotionally by making him smile. You help him physically by letting him know you're there for him- cuddles, hand holding, kissing, sexual activity." He paused when the youngest of the group snickered. Ashton glared at the small Australian boy, Troye or something, and he shut up. "But he needs mental help. Medication, therapy, may be some time in a hospital-"
Ashton clenched his fists and Luke intertwined their hands, trying to calm him down. He just wanted to get out ot there.
"Is that really appropriate to be discussed in front of 30 strangers?"
A darker skin boy, Calum, perked his head up from a colorful haired boys shoulder. "We wouldn't be strangers if he opened up to us."
"It's hard for him!" Ashton snapped. Luke didn't understand why Ash was fighting so hard; he had given up a long time ago.
"It's hard for all of us! You think it's easy for me to admit I have sever anger issues? That Michael has anorexia? That Alex has anxiety? And Jack has bipolar disorder? And that Zack and Rian has-"
"Okay I get it!"
"You obviously don't," Calum said softly, "Luke is obviously hurting himself."
Ashton narrowed his tear filled eyes.
"Shut the fuck up now!" Ashton's voice rang throughout everyone's ears. They could hear and see how distraught he was and how angry he was. He refused to believe that Luke hurt himself. Yes, he had saw it every time they had sex but he always blamed it on something else.
Due to Ashton's voice, the colorful haired boy -Michael, he later learned- clutched onto Calum's arm with his frail fingers. He was scared. Calum's jaw clenched and his fists seemed to curl on an instinct.
