It seems that Daisy has been able to blend in this new faction very easily.

I was still struggling.

But I've been a good big brother and  decided to take all Daisy's shifts during our stay so she can hang out with her new Amity friends. But destiny thinks it's funny to stick Four and me together for our kitchen shift. Luckily, neither of us have acknowledged each other so I've been cool and calm as I wash the dirty dishes.

"So, you guys are dauntless?" A ginger girl asks beside me, as she dries the dishes.

Four doesn't answer, I don't answer.

"I like your tattoos, did they hurt?" She trails the tip of her finger down my forearm, making me quickly snatch my arm away in disgust.

"What the hell?" I spit angrily at her.

"What?" She says innocently. I scoot away from he, giving her a cruel look.

"So, tell us a little about yourselves." A blonde boy says, dropping eggs and bread onto a plate and passing it to Four. Neither of us say anything.

"Ok, I guess I'll just have to pry it out of you then. You have a sister don't you?" He says, turning toward me.

I answer him with silence.

"How about you big guy, do you have any family members here?" He asks Four.

"No." He says sternly. My hands nearly drop my plate when I hear him. I look over at him, but he purposefully avoids my gaze.

"Oh I thought-" The amity boy starts to talk but Four snaps at him.

"Well you thought wrong."

"Woah, no need to be so rude," The ginger says, then turns towards me. "So, do you have a girlfriend back in Dauntless?"

My stomach plummets when I hear her say that, and my body instantly tenses up. I stop cleaning, and clench my jaw. I can feel Four staring at me as I take deep breaths.

"I would suggest you don't ask him that." Four says.

"Why, did she die?" The amity says jokingly with a snort.

I don't like the joke.

Before I can stop myself, my arm reaches out and snatches the boy toward me. I throw one punch, and then another, and then before I realized it I was releasing all my anger and frustration on the boy's face. I takes a while for Four to finally pry me off the now bloodied boy. I can hear the ginger screaming in horror as Four puts space between me and the boy.

"If you say shit like that again, next time I'll kill you." I hiss at him, and shove Four off me and storm out the room.

I frustratingly run my hands through my hair and I hear footsteps behind me.

"What the hell was that!" Four rages at me.

"I don't want to hear it." I try  to say as calm as possible.

"I don't care if you don't want to hear it, why would you do that? Do you want us to  get kicked out?"

"Did you hear what he said?" I say.

"Yes."

"So you should understand why I beat the crap out of him."

"Just because someone mentions Vana that doesn't mean that you have to lash out on them." He shouts at me.

"That's easier for you to say, you have your life together." I say clenching my fists.

"I don't have my life together." He says angrily.
