When I wake up I find the bed empty. Instantly my mind starts thinking the worst and I tear the covers off my body. Just as I rush to pull the door open, the knob twists and in walks Vana. I let out a sigh of relief and pull her into me. Something falls out of her hands and onto the floor but I keep my hold on her tight.
"Woah!" She says as my body impacts with hers.
"When you weren't there, I thought I had dreamt you being here," I say sadly. After a few seconds I am able to let her go. When I do, she combs her hand through my hair, fixing it. Her other hand rests on my chest, and under her hand I can feel my fast heart beat slow into a steady one.
"You don't have to worry, I'm not going anywhere." She says, gazing at me with her violet eyes.
I lean down and kiss her lips. Then her jaw. Before my lips can reach her neck she stops me.
"Now, none of that. You already overslept and we have a meeting in half an hour."
"I can work with half an hour." I say, leaning towards her neck again.
"No, because I'm pretty sure you would rather check on Daisy in that half hour. So, I got some clothes that are about your size. And also, a first aid kit for your cuts. So hurry up and get changed."

Eventually I am able to get Vana away from my wounds and we waltz down the halls toward the cott room.
Along the way I can feel the stares of Candor, mostly girls, gawk at me. The shirt I'm wearing is tighter than normal and shows off my build. I grin when I notice Vana flush under their gazes and walk closer to me.
We finally reach the large room full of bunk beds. Rows and rows of bunk beds and on them are people dressed in all black, talking and laughing. It doesn't take me long to find Daisy with my eyes. She's on a top bunk surrounded by freshly graduated Dauntless initiates. I watch her say something and the people around her laugh.
I never understood how she was so good at making friends. We've almost always been polar opposites.
As soon as my foot sets in the room the bunks near the door quiet into a whisper. Vana squeezes my shoulder and I see her walk towards the left corner, Adam sits on his bunk and Pheonix is standing beside him. I nod at them for a second and then I walk towards Daisy.
With every move I make, the room grows more and more quiet. The whispers and stares thrown my way are nothing new to me, they've been following me ever since my days in Erudite.
When I near Daisy and the others the conversation dies down and everyone looks at me approaching them.
"Oh shit." One of them mutters.
Daisy jumps off her bunk bed and throws her arms around my neck at the sight of me. I grip onto her for a second but then pull back to take her in.
She's wearing a Dauntless dress and combat boots. Her hair is pulled back into a messy ponytail and on her eyes was dark makeup behind her thick glasses. My eyebrows instantly furrow at the sight of makeup on my baby sister's face.
"What's on your face?" I say, my tone stone hard.
"Freckles," She says quietly, playing dumb. My expression hardens even more.
"You know that's not what I meant."
"It's called eyeliner," A girl with a buzz cut says from the top bunk. I think her name is Lynn, a newly graduated initiate. "And it makes her grey eyes pop."
"Yeah, what she said," Daisy agrees nervously adjusting her glasses. I roll my eyes at Lynn.
"Whatever. I just came in here to check up on you." I say turning back to Daisy.
