Loving him

I sat on the edge of my bed, the evening breeze gently moving my hair. I watched as the sun slowly disappeared, burst of colours merging together to make an evening gown for the sky. Pink,orange,purple and blue hue adorned the sky. All four blended in perfect harmony. I sighed and placed my chin on my hand.

A loud cough was heard and I was pulled back on the bed forcefully." Just so you know I still exist." My childhood best friend,Cassie Jones mumbled with an adorable puppy look on her face. She had curly black hair and bubbly blue eyes, she was pretty, the kind of girl that boys swoon over. She had a great body, a pretty face and an amazing personality and we have been friends since kindergarden, she goes to the Mayne Academy. It is an all girl school. I missed not seeing her everyday. She comes home every Tuesday and week ends without exception. I turned on my side to face her and planted my hand on her face. She made an annoyed expression and I started laughing uncontrallably. She swatted my hand away and sat on top of my belly, she held up her hands with a devilish smile playing on her lips. I made a horrified face and started to back away which did not work because she was sitting on me. I am such a genius!

She tickled me, showing no pity. I was shaking,laughing and begged her to stop. "I am going to pee. Please stooooop!!!" I yelled while struggling to escape from her demonic grip. She stopped and let herself fall on the bed. We both turned on our sides and giggled at each other. I sighed again,rolling on my back,wondering what Ace was doing. "Ah!!! You sighed again!!" Cassie yelled. I looked at her and raised my eyebrow questionningly. "So, who is it?" She asked while biting her lips to stop herself from smiling. "Who is what?" I asked back, she rolled her eyes and exclaimed in an overly dramatic manner," The guy that you love darling!!!"

I felt my cheeks warm up. I was not expecting that,I looked at her and shyly mouthed 'Ace'. She broke into an ear to ear grin and squealed. She got off the bed and started dancing. I looked at her and shook my head." What is wrong with your head?" I asked her. She came near the bed and pulled me up. She hugged me and sighed. " You are creeping me out. What's wrong?" I mumbled hugging her back. " He is just so handsome and I'm happy for you even though I want him too." I looked at her and started laughing. She laughed too and hugged me tighter before letting go and dragging me to the bed. We both sat on it, I took a pillow and she took the blanket.

She looked at me,her eyes sparkling in expectation. I looked at her weirdly,"What?" I inquired. "Tell me everything. I want to know when,how,why and all the fresh details. Everything!!" She said in one go. I giggled and said," Hmm well where do i start from?" Cassie whined. I chuckled and took a breath, the temperature was falling so I closed the windows." So, I fell for him last year during the second semester. You know that we have always been like cat and dog,that did not change at all. We were same as always. What changed was that my heart thumps loud and fast when I see him. My heart seems to skip a beat when he smiles, warms up when i hear him laugh. When we touch I feel electricity between us. I love his smell, my mind goes blank when i sniff him. And oh god, Cass the things I do just to touch him. I love staring into his green eyes,they look like twinkling emeralds and his lips, so pink I just want to kiss him all day. He is perfect in every possible way. He teases me a lot and I like it. He cares for me that i know but I crave for more Cassie...much much more. I need to feel him near. Without him I feel empty." And just like that without noticing it, Ace had already taken control over my heart and soul.

Cassie stared at me. Her eyes were wide and her grip on the blanket was loosening. She allowed it to slide from her fingers and threw herself at me, hugging me and whispered," You really love him,don't you?" I hugged her tightly and whispered back," I do Cass, so much that it hurts. I can't have him far from me, I need him close, loving him is so hard." She did not let go, I needed that.

My door was swung open to reveal my brother. When Shayn saw us, he exhaled and looked upwards mumbling under his breath,"Oh sweet god. What did I do to see my sister making out with her best friend." Cassie and I both threw a pillow at his face and burst out laughing. He grinned and jumped on us. Shayn crushed us restraining us from moving. Cassie and I were still laughing and Shayn had joined us too. That night was a blast but my mind was still on Ace. 'Tomorrow i'm gonna suffocate him in my hug.' I thought with a grin on my face.
