Tokyo Mew Mew: Reactivated

The Reactivation

"Ryou, what's happening?!" Keiichiro slings the door open to the research room, where many lights are flashing and machines beeping, bringing warning.

"I-I don't know!" Quickly, he starts looking through every placed camera, the screens changing rapidly, and suddenly he zooms in, and dozens of aliens pour from behind the clouds. "The aliens?! What are they doing back here?" He slams his fist on the control panel and looks back at Keiichiro. "Get the girls, now!"

Meanwhile, at their respective high schools, the mews feel a sudden stab where their previous marks were. Ichigo was the first to act, immediately sensing something was wrong and excused herself from the classroom. She runs outside of the school and lifts up her skirt, seeing her mew mark back in its spot. "What is going on? We defeated the aliens and the Saint rose crusaders, what could possibly be threatening the earth?"
Just then, Masha pops from Ichigo's pocket and opens his mouth, playing a hologram of Ryou and Keiichiro in a panic .
"Ichigo! You need to get the others now! The aliens are back, dozens of them! There's no telling what they want with this planet."
Without knowing what else to do, she grabs her phone and sends texts to all the girls, and right afterwards runs behind a bush to transform, deciding she would be the first to find the aliens and confront them. She jumped on top of her schools roof and started to hop on top of neighboring buildings to see if she could see any commotion.
But instead, when she landed on the roof on another school, she sensed something going on inside. It was a weird, but familiar feeling...
By this time, the other mews caught up with Ichigo, transformed and ready to go. Minto was the first to speak up. "Why did you stop, Ichigo?! Didn't you say there were aliens?!"
Ichigo nods, "Go on ahead! Somethings telling me that I'm needed here." Just then, she drops from the roof and enters the school, careful not to be caught since she was wearing her schools uniform. She walked down each hallway she came to, getting closer to the source of this...feeling. She turns a corner, and sees a girl crouched on the ground, hands on the back of her neck and she's shuddering in pain. "Hey, what's--" But Ichigo was cut off by a blinding light, and when she looked back at the girl, she was...a mew mew?! The new mew almost screamed when she looked down at herself, but she then notices Ichigo, and thinking she was another student, she dashed off down the opposite side of the hallway .
"Hey wait!!" Ichigo transforms also, running to catch the new team member, but it wouldn't take long. She'd be found around the corner with a terrified look on her face and shuddering in surprise .
"M-mew mew lychee...w-what is all this about?!" She turns to Ichigo. "Did you turn me into a mew mew?! Why me?"
Ichigo waves her hands nervously. "N-no, I don't know what's happened..but the fact is, you're a new team member now! And you need to come with me if you want to learn why." Ichigo looks sternly at the new mew, but then smiles weakly and grabs her hand. "Don't be nervous, ok? I'm sure there's a reason."
The new mew, putting all her trust in Ichigo, a mew she'd only seen on television, nods up at her and follows her outside. "Okay...I'll trust you."
Once they reach the cafe, Mew Lychee immediately recognizes it. "This is..the really cute cafe! I come here with my friends often but..why are we here?"
Ichigo turns to look at the new mew. "I thought you said you trusted me? This place is a lot more than it looks."
Once inside, Lychee is lead to the back of the cafe, where Ryou and Keiichiro would be waiting for their arrival. But once they notice the unfamiliar face, they look to each other in confusion. "Who are you?" Ryou is the first to speak up, with Keiichiro ready to soften his harsh words. "What he means to say is, are you..a mew mew?"
Lychee is totally confused. "I-I guess? I mean, I look like one don't I? But how is that possible?"
Soon enough, the other mews are running in, and Berry is in her school uniform.
"I can't transform! My powers didn't come back!!" Berry seems really distressed. "And my mew mark...is gone!"

Ryou puts a hand to his head and look to the team. "So..Berry lost her powers and this new girl gained some. But why?"

With that, Keiichiro walks to Ryou's side, thinking hard about the situation at hand. "The mew mew's power only lasts until their enemy is defeated...could it possibly be because Berry has beaten her enemy ? We are facing aliens now, which explains why the other girls have their powers back, perhaps Berry's power transferred to someone who could make use of it?"

All eyes turn to the new mew, she can feel their states pierce into her skin. She takes a deep breath before giving a nervous giggle.
"W-well...I'll try my best to make use of her powers, but before all that can I..introduce myself?" She gives a slight bow to all of them and then looks up, scanning the lot of them with her eyes. "My name is Chinatsu Ishihara, or..Mew Lychee."
Berry sighs before giving a smile and cupping one of Chinatsu's hands. "All I ask is that you do well in taking my place as a mew mew." Berry then turns to the others with watering eyes and sniffles. "It's been fun fighting with you all! I really love all of you girls...but it looks like my time here with all of you is up. I wish you all the best." She wipes her eyes and places a hand on Chinatsu's shoulder. "Goodbye, girls, take care of the new mew!" She then heads off, and everyone stares after her with a mix of sadness and confusion filling the atmosphere of the room.

Ryou shakes his head before turning to Chinatsu. "I want to run a few tests on you, just to see what animal you were injected with and what powers you might possess. Please come with me." He turns and walks silently through a long hallway, and even though she was hesitant, she follows behind him. Eventually they end up in a room with a strange machine, and Ryou turns to face her. "Please place your hand here." He gestures to a scanner, and she slides her hand on to it. For a moment, nothing happens, then suddenly the machine makes various strange noises, before things start to pop up all over the monitor. Startled, Lychee pulls her hand from the machine.
"Alright. Let's see what we have." He analyzes the monitor for a few seconds, then slides his gaze onto Chinatsu. "You have been injected with the DNA of the Arctic Fox, an endangered species. You seem to possess the power of ice, but we won't ever truly know what that means until you fight."
Chinatsu nods, looking down at her palms and wonders to herself if this is all truly happening, but her thought process was broken when Ryou pats her hard on the shoulder.
"Well! Good luck, rookie! Welcome to the mew mews!" He grins and laughs, then walks out of the room with his arms behind his head.
