The New Mew

The next day started off just as normal as it always did, Chinatsu woke up, got in her school uniform, did her hair, the normal routine. She quickly ate her breakfast and packed a lunchbox, then headed outside to walk to school. While on her regular trail, she dazes off into thought, thinking about everything that happened the day prior. Suddenly, from behind her, she's hugged, and she hears a loud squeal.
"New Onee-san!! Wait for us!!"
She turns to see who the unfamiliar voice could be, and tilts her head as she faces the young blonde-haired girl.
"Oh! Sorry, I'm Pudding! I'm the yellow mew mew!" She giggles and knocks her head with her first playfully.
Chinatsu looks up from the girl to see the others walking forward. She's too filled with surprise to say anything, so she just awkwardly scratches the back of her head and gives a slight wave.
Once they get closer to her, Ichigo steps forward with a smile.
"No need to be shy! We're a team now, right?! I guess we should introduce ourselves. I'm Ichigo Momomiya."
The next to speak up is Minto, who gives a small courtesy.
"I'm Minto Aizawa, charmed, I'm sure."
Lettuce shyly looks to Chinatsu and pushes up her glasses.
"L-lettuce Midorikawa..nice to meet you.."
Zakuro looks at Chinatsu a moment before flipping her hair back over her shoulder.
"Zakuro Fujiwara."
Ichigo gives a laugh.
"I guess you've already met Pudding here. She couldn't contain herself."
Pudding gives a pouty lip and crosses her arms.
"I just wanted to meet the new team member is all!"
Chinatsu smiles at them all and nods.
"Thanks guys, it's nice to meet all of you. To be honest, I'm kind of nervous...will I be fighting monsters like all of you do?"
Ichigo gives a nod. "Yes, but don't worry, you have all of us!"
Chinatsu gives a sigh, but manages to smile . "A-alright...I guess since I was chosen, this is just what I have to do .."
Ichigo puts a reassuring hand on her shoulder . "No, Chinatsu, it's what we have to do . Together . It actually just so happens that you go to the same school as Lettuce, so don't worry ! You'll always have a mew nearby ! Here, let's all trade numbers !"
They all huddle together with their phones, typing in each others numbers, and afterward Ichigo pulls away from the group . "Text us if you have any questions ! I'm off, Masaya is waiting for me !!" And with a giggle, she skips off into the direction of her own school .
The others do the same, saying goodbye to eachother, until Chinatsu and Lettuce are the only ones left .
Lettuce looks at Chinatsu with a weak smile . "Please don't worry ! When I first became a mew I made the mistake of pushing everyone away because I felt like I was weird...and I was scared . But every girl in our group is so kind in their own way, I'm sure you'll fit in with all of us !"
Chinatsu nods, but doesn't say anything as they continue on their path .
When they get to the school, they split up and head to their first period .
And the day continues as normal, until suddenly in 3rd period, Chinatsu receives a text from Ichigo . 'The aliens have been spotted again ! Meet up at the radio tower !'
Panicked, Chinatsu raises her hand, asking to be excused to the bathroom . The teacher gives a slight scolding before letting her off, and she sneaks through the halls and finally, outside, where she transforms . "I don't think I'll ever get used to this.." She says to herself while looking down at this silly outfit . She quickly runs to the radio tower, and realizes that Lettuce is behind her .
"Wait, Chinatsu ! I'll go with you !! It'd be bad if you were the only one there !" Lettuce catches up and they both run side by side until they reach the tower .
Upon reaching it, the other news are already in full combat with Chimera Animals and aliens alike .
Chinatsu trembles at the sight of them . There's a huge red fox, a huge moth, and quite a few aliens floating around . She almost faints, but Lettuce catches her and shakes her a bit .
She snaps her eyes open and shakes her head . "I...I knew they'd be big but....they look so much bigger in real life !!"
Just then, Minto was sweeped by the paw of the Chimera fox, and she lands, skidding across the concrete at Chinatsu's feet . "You have to fight ! You're a mew now aren't you ?!" Minto stands and jumps right back into battle .
Lychee looks to Lettuce, who looks back at her .
"You know what you have to do, and you can do it, Chinatsu-san !" Lettuce says before she joins the girls in battle .
Chinatsu takes a deep, shaky breath, and holds her arm out to the side . "Lychee Longstaff ...!"
And suddenly, her mew pendant detaches from the bow behind her shorts, and opens ! It forms itself into a long staff, mounting itself on top of it, and a bow wrapped around its base . Mew Lychee looks at the staff, and back to the Chimera Animals . She spins it in her hands, and focuses on the weapon, concentrating on her power . "Ribbon .....flash freeze !!!" She spins her staff as fast as she can, and a ray of frost shoots out from her, paralyzing the moth, which had been incredibly hard to hit before . She looks at what she'd done and gasps . "I...I did it ...!"
Her glory was short lived as she's suddenly grabbed by her neck from behind by an unusually tall woman .
"Oh...so you've brought even more toys for us, hm ? A new little...'mew mew,' you call yourselves ?" The woman gives a sinister giggle . "I'll be taking her, then ! Sorry your time as a mew was so short lived, what a pity !"
Ichigo lands on the ground in front of the scene . "Let her go, or I'll ..!"
"What ? You'll use your weapon ? Oh, but you'd hit your friend here, too ...."
Lychee struggles against her grasp, but to no avail, this woman was incredibly strong .
Ichigo grinds her teeth at the woman . "What do you want ? What is your purpose ?!"
"How terribly rude of me...my name is Kasutera, and I'll be taking this planet back for our people !! Those failures...Kisshu, Pai, and Taruto..they're so foolish, and they've brought shame on our entire race . We will have this planet . Now, if you excuse me, I must go . Have fun with our little pets !" And with that, the woman vanished in thin air, and with Lychee !
"Dammit !!! They took Lychee !!" Ichigo turns to the others to see the moth defeated, but the are still struggling with the fox . "How can we get to their dimension ...?"
