Chapter Four Lies

I knew that something was wrong when Allie got to my house. I mean we always tell each other everything, but she was hiding something and I want to know what it is. I wonder if it has to do with what's going on in our town.

"Hey Allie. What's got you so bothered?"

"Nothing. Just something I have been thinking about."

"You know you can tell me anything, also that I could help you with whatever your decision is going to be."

"I know. It's nothing you have to worry about. Just something that I have to keep to myself. Don't worry about what it is. okay?"

I just nodded my head and kept my eyes on her for a little bit longer than I should, but I know that she's lying and she knows that I can see right through those lies. She stayed for a little bit longer, than she had to go home. I watched as she made her down to her house. After I say that she had made it to the bottom of the road I texted Kassie to see how she was doing.

Hey! where were you? I thought that coming over my house would make what's going on a lot easier for all of use.-Max :)

Don't worry about me Max, and i'm so sorry I forgot that we all were going to go to your house. I promise that I will make it up to you and Allie. I was hanging out with Jack and lost track of time. I really am sorry.-Kassie :(

It's okay. You and Allie have to know that I will always worry about you guys. You guys are my best friends. I understand that you and Jack are trying to make things like they used to be. How about this next time you could bring Jack along with you. How does that sound?-Max :)

I understand that you are going to worry, but can you just not make it that obvious? I mean you are my best friend and I know you better than anyone else, just don't make that big of a deal about it. okay? I will ask Jack next time if he wants to come.-Kassie :)

Sure why not. Hey do you have any idea as to why Allie might want to keep a secret from us? I mean she was just here and she seemed not herself. Do you know anything or why she might feel like that?-Max :)

No. I just think that she's tired you know how she is when she's tired. Anyways did I miss anything today?-Kassie :)

Nope. But hey my mom is telling me to do my homework so if I finish before you go to bed I will text you then ok? If I was you I would do your homework to.-Max :)

That was the last thing that we said to each other before I went to bed. I wonder if Allie was just lying to me and Kassie because she has something going on in her life that she doesn't want us to know. But whatever the reason, I hope that it's a good one. I'm just sick of everyone trying to lie to me.
