I can't believe that my dad made an appointment to have me and Jack tested. My dad believes that we are depressed and that we are reliving what had happened like ten years ago. I'm not reliving it. I don't think that Jack is. Nothing really happened to him. He just had to live it with me and our parents. We don't have to go to school today. Which means that we are going to have to stay after tomorrow and make up all that work. I hope that they can say that we are NOT reliving that tragic event.

Here it is. This is the stupid place that our parents had brought us when I was being tested. I can't help how I feel about this place on the inside. When we walked into the building. Some of the nurses there all waved and said hello to me and Jack. We looked at each other wondering what we were going to be doing this morning.

"Hey guys!"

When we heard that voice. We turned our heads to look at her.

"You guys don't know who I am do you?"

We shock our no.

"I remember when you guys were maybe two-six? My name is Emma Carls."

"It's so nice to see you again Emma. Are you going to be working with them today?"

"Yes and also a intern will be helping me out as well."

"Oh. What's the intern's name?"

"His name is Max. Max Paradise."

When I heard that name I looked at Jack. I looked down at the ground and walked into the room where the testing will begin. The real test doesn't start until Max walks into the room or until the real doctor comes. But with my luck it's going to start when Max gets here. They have to show him how to hook everything up and how to sanitize the needles and things like that. I just hope that he doesn't say anything to me or about me in school tomorrow.

"Sorry I'm late. My mom got lost at first."

"It's ok. Max this is Jack and Kassie DuBay. They are going to be your patience today."

When Max heard our names. He looked over at the table at us. He locked eyes with me and then with Jack. Then back to me. A look of hurt and shock flashed before his eyes.

"Yeah. We know each other."

I just knew that in the end of this appointment, I am going to have to explain to him why in the hell I have to be tested. I hate this appointment. I just want it to say what I already know. Things need to change.
