An Endless Cycle

Chapter 9

When I arrived at the park I saw Blake by the swings, I looked around for Alesha but she must have not gotten here yet, I was so upset I needed someone to let everything out to so I ran to Blake without thinking twice, I engulfed myself in his arms and cried

"Cade?" He asked

I just cried, I know it wasn't good for the baby but I couldn't help it, I thought Malichi loved me

"Cade, what's wrong, is the baby okay?" He asked pulling me out of his chest so our eyes were locked

"I-I think the baby's fine, it's my boyfriend or ex-boyfriend now, h-he hit, he hit me." I said

Blake pulled me back into his chest and rubbed circles on my back, which really made me calm down

"Talk to me about it" he said calmly

I pulled myself away from him and sat down at the picnic table, Blake sitting across from me

"Malichi and I have been together for 3 years, I loved him, he knew how to make me laugh or smile when I felt like shit, he knew the exact words to say no matter what the situation, he was always there, but today, when I told him that he wasn't the father, he-he lost it he was yelling and h-he h-hit me" I said my voice getting softer toward the end

"I know what I did, what we did was wrong, but I didn't know what I was doing and neither did you, we were drunk but I don't think he understands that." I said almost in tears again

"I'm sorry, if it wasn't for me you wouldn't be going through any of this, you wouldn't be pregnant, you would still have your boyfriend, and I'm sorry, I'm sorry I ruined your life." He said, he looked like he was going to cry

"Hey, it's okay, you didn't ruin my life, if anything you made it better, I learned that the people I thought loved me could change in a second," I said putting my hands over his that were on the table

He looked up at me, I never really noticed how blue his eyes were, they weren't like a normal blue, they had a little sparkle in them, something I have never seen before, I looked away from him and down at my belly

*sigh* "I missed my appointment" I said to him

"Do you think if we go now they will still see us?" He asked

"Only one way to find out" I said trying to get my pregnant self off of the picnic bench until Blake extended his hand to help me

"Is it hard?" He asked

"What?" I asked confused

"Being pregnant" he said

"Oh, ask me in about four more months" I said smiling

We walked to Blakes car, HE HAD A CAMARO!, his family must have been rich, but he doesn't act stuck up like most rich people, like my parents do. I really didn't know much about my baby daddy.
