10 months later
Wesley is 10 months now and is one of the most precious babies I have ever seen
Blake and I have been getting closer and I actually feel like we have a real happy family. We moved into a new house it's a four bed three bath.
"Wesley, give me that" Blake said to my child who was playing with his keys
"No" I heard Wesley mumble
"Did he just say no?" I said from the kitchen
"I think so" Blake said
"Wes, give daddy his keys" I said to try and see if he would say it again
"No" he said clearer this time
"Oh my lord you just said your first word, and of course it would be no" I said laughing at the little baby now in front of me
"That's my boy" Blake said picking him up
"Now I'm gonna need those to go to work please" he said referring to the keys in his hand
"Here baby you can play with this" I said taking Blake's keys and giving Wesley his toy
"Alright bye baby and bye to you too big boy" Blake said giving both of us a kiss
"Bye" I said taking Wesley from Blake
"Say bye bye to daddy" I said to Wesley who was to interested in his toy to pay attention
"Alright well I'll be home about 1:30" Blake said
"Ok baby" I said before Blake walked out the door
I put Wesley back on the play mat and went back to fixing his sippy cup
*ring ring* I heard my phone from the counter
"Hello" I said
"Hey Cade is it ok if I come over to see Wesley before I leave for my trip" said Blakes mom, Melissa.
"Yeah that's fine I'll be here all day so come whenever you like" I said to her
"Ok I'll probably be there in about 30 minutes" she said
"Ok see you then" I said
It 've gotten really close to Melissa she's a much better grandmother than my mom would be. My parents and I are still not on good terms I allowed them to see Wesley one time when he was 6 months old but that was it because we had another fight the week after about me going back to college, she didn't want me to she thought it was best if I stayed home and raised my child and when I told her it was with online classes she freaked out about me not having a professor to help me! I swear that woman is bipolar.
----------30 minutes later----------
*ding dong* the doorbell sounded
"Hey Cade" said Melissa before hugging me
"Hey" I said returning the hug
"What's up little man" she said going over to Wesley who was watching Mickey Mouse
"Tell her i have a surprise for you grandma" I said to Wesley
"Wes said his first word today" I said to Melissa
"Oh really! What was it" she asked
"No" I said
She laughed
"This is definitely Blake's child" she said
"Say no for granny" she said to the baby who was in her arms
"Wes, wanna go play with Taylor" I said knowing he doesn't like her that well
"No" he said shaking his head
"Awe" Melissa said
----
Melissa stayed at our house for about an hour before she left so it was just me and Wesley now
"Ok let's go get you some lunch" I said to Wesley before picking him up
"Oh boy when daddy gets home we are teaching you how to walk your getting heavy" I said and he smiled
"Yeah you like that idea" I said placing him in his high hair
-----------------Later That Night--------------
"Ok Wes, go to momma" Blake said from the other side of the rug
We were currently teaching him how to walk
"Come here baby" I said with my arms open
He took a little step before he fumbled and fell
---------1 hour later----------
After multiple attempts Wesley finally took his first steps and was walking around the house , of course still with a few falls but he was learning
"Our baby is growing up" I said to Blake
"Yep it won't be long before he's bringing girls home" he laughed
"Oh god no" I said laughing with him
Everything was perfect
