" What does he mean?" I asked Katniss, but she was already running. The truth finally unfolded. Katniss was reaped once again for the Hunger Games, yet with remaining victors. We believed in her the first time, but how could we now? Katniss ran outside, hysterical, and all I could do was sit there like a motionless person. Not even Buttercup could calm me at the moment.
Days went by, and we still couldn't get over the fact. It was just a few weeks ago when Katniss's stylist team came to fix her up for an interview, and even included me. I was pretty nervous, and I tried to hide it in my sky blue dress. Instead, I stood on my tiptoes and kinda swayed I guess. But now that at least happy moment was gone. Now as we were standing in front of the crowd waiting for Katniss's named to be reaped, I promised myself that I wouldn't watch any games. I would make myself useful. Once when Katniss's name was picked, we all did the three finger salute, starting with mom, then me, then Gale. Suddenly, the Peacekeepers arms wrapped around her and pulled her to the train. " I get to say goodbye! " she screamed, struggling like I did. " Katniss! " I screamed. " Katniss!"

Gale held me back from the Peacekeeper protectively while I struggled. I felt like a mouse, unable to help and never strong.
The first dream took place when I Gale was injured, and I was helping mother with the injection. I was so efficient, it was like I was in my own world, even though everyone was watching me. Katniss even looked at me surprised, but I just looked her in the eyes, and she understood.

The next dream was when I was outside helping Katniss gather snow for Gale. " You know Prim that all my decisions reflect on you and mom. I just want to keep you safe." I looked up at her. " You don't have to protect me and mom anymore. We're with you," I paused, letting Katniss take it all in. " I've seen something, since the first games." " What?" Katniss asked, sounding oblivious. " Hope."
Katniss's face changed into a warm smile, and she wrapped me in a big hug.
" I love you, little duck."
