This is pretty short because I was having a difficult time trying to come up with an idea for this one but I hope it's okay!
Birthdays were something that you had always loved. Well, had always loved when you were younger at least. You had found that it was always so fun to be able to invite all of your friends over and have amazing birthday parties as a kid. When you began to grow older however, they had really just become a burden to you and the thought of growing up was just flat out depressing to you. You had taken to spending your birthdays alone, just relaxing and treating it like a normal day, exactly what you planned on doing today. The sun was shining and the weather was absolutely gorgeous, so you decided what better way to celebrate than go outside and soak up some sun. You had been laying out by the pool for a only a few minutes before you heard a familiar voice outside of your gate.
"Well what's a pretty little lady doing out here all by herself?"
You raised your sunglasses to see none other than Nick Clark standing on the opposite side of the fence, a shit eating grin evident on his face.
"Nicholas Clark, to what do I owe the pleasure?" You remarked. He opened the gate, letting himself into the backyard like he normally did. What was not normal about today was that you noticed a small animal trailing behind him. You sat up in your lounge chain all the way, suddenly very intrigued. Looking closer, you realized that the small animal at Nicks heals was, in fact, a puppy.
Nick bent down and scooped up the little thing, bringing it over and setting it down in your lap.
"Happy Birthday babe." He smiled.
You looked at him in awe then back to the puppy in your lap.
"Are you serious?!" You nearly yelled. You had been wanting a dog for so long, but you always put of going to the animal shelter because you knew seeing all the animals there would make you too upset. Nick must have payed extra attention when you talked about it because here he was, standing in you backyard with the puppy you had dreamed of having for so long.
"Oh my God, Nick. Thank you so much!" You jumped up and attacked Nick with a tight hug, placing a grateful kiss on his lips.
"Anything for my love." He smiled warmly at you, clearly content that he had made you happy.
The rest of your day was spent inside with you curled up on Nick's lap, his arm holding you around your waist and your puppy sleeping soundly on your own lap.
