Chapter 9: Aaron's surprise

            "Aaron. Hows everything?"'she asked.
"Hey are you alright Susan? You don't sound like", he said.
"Aaron see you tomorrow ", and she hung up.

"Whats wrong with her.", Aaron wondered.
Next day Aaron drove in his navy blue merc to pick up Susan.
It was a sunday morning and Aaron had a plan for Susan.

Aaron set a blindfold on Susan once she was in the car.
"Where are you taking me Aaron?", she asked.
"Shush... Dont ask. Its a surprise.", he said.
"Surprise! Oh! Fine then Ill have to stay quiet."
They drove for around 2 hours and finally Aaron halted.
"Here it is", he said.
"Can I open the blindfold?"
"Not yet. Ill guide you in."
"Ok. But please be quick."
"Yes my dear come.", he said taking her hand.

He opens up the blindfold.
She exclaims "wow Aaron! It has always been my dream."

It was a white passenger cruise named CRYSTAL.
It was one huge ship.

He took her hand and took her to level one of the ship and it then left the dockyard.

"Its wonderful Aaron . Thankyou .", she said.
"Thankyou my love. For coming into my life."
"Is it yours Aaron?", she asked.
"Yes ofcourse its OURS",he said emphasizing on the word "OURS".
She smiled.
"Well ofcourse. What is she called?"
"Her name is Crystal Hardway"
"Shes strong and pretty."
"Thankyou. Would you like to dance?" He bent on his knees.

"Yes Aaron. I will ", she said.
"You wouldnt say a no to me at all."
"Never", she said.

He took her hand and the music began.
It started playing "HERO" , by Enrique Iglesias.
They went on for about half an hour.

When they went to the edge of the ship to see the mesmerising sunset.

"Its all so beautiful ",she said.
"Yes it is", he said coming closer towards her.

He put his chin on her shoulder and locked his fingers in hers.

"Where to miss ? ", he asked.
"To the Clarkes", she giggled.
He immediately turned her around and then they shared an emotional kiss.

Next moment he was on his knees with a ring box.
"Aaron what are you doing?"
"Asking this beautiful girl here to be my lawfully wedded wife."
"Oh my gosh Aaron!" , tears began to roll down her cheeks.

"Will you marry me miss Susan Victoria Rhodes?"

"Yes Aaron I will."

And the whole boat was filled with cheers. And she was surprised to see everyone there. Her college friends, his friends, the Clarke family , the hostel warden and hostelmates and ofcourse Alyssa as well.

"Congratulations dear." , she came running towards her and hugged her.

Slowly the sunset took place and the whole ship lit up with lights in shades of red, blue and purple .

"May I have the honour to dance with you madam, he asked.
"Yes ofcourse."

Then everyone else joined the dance, enjoyed the dinner and the champagne.

"Aaron!" Susan whispered into his ears.
"Yeah say."
"I love you. Thankyou for such a lovely evening."
"My pleasure love. It was a secret engagement. I have more better plans for you for the wedding."
"I am eager for the day now."
"But the wedding would be 6 months later after your graduation."
"Oh! Yes no problem at all."

"Excuse me!", a voice interrupted their conversation.
"Oh hi Jason ," Aaron greeted.
"Jason meet my fiancée Susan. Susan Rhodes."
"Ofcourse."

Susan's expressions changed immediately.

Why did this happen?

Who is Jason?

Why did it tense Susan?
